I spend five months a year in Costa Rica, and I find that I'm way more productive working in my apartment than in a co-working space. I guess it depends on whether you're going for a vacation or to be productive.

Crosby, I’m considering CR as a destination for my work abroad program. This was so honest and helpful! Especially your feedback about the noise. The amenities sound great, and I like the option of not using the Selina as a full time accommodation. Thank you so much!

So I stayed at a nice amount of Selina's in Costa Rica. Puerto Viejo, La Fortuna, and Manuel Antonio. la fortuna location was hands down my favorite. The staff were amazing, I didn't use the co-working space, they were very good about communcating breakfast which bother the other locations weren't. But the bar shutdown at about 11ish during the week. I met amazing friends from there. I had a friends who been staying somewhere else near by and was very impressed by that location. I can say not all the Selina's are the same. veijo was a mess and Manuel was under a little bit of construction when I was there. But all in all I would go again. Just maybe to some different locations.

I am DYING to go to la fortuna’s Selina!! It looks incredible! Glad to hear you had a good time there 🙌

YES! Fully agree. I stayed at a Selina in Isla Mujeres and in Playa del Carmen and both had music constantly going and it went until the middle of the night. Felt more like a party hostel that happened to have good wifi rather than a digital nomad hostel that sometimes hosts fun things to do. Would never go back to Selina.
@CrosbyGraceTravels2 жыл бұрын
There's definitely a disconnect between advertising themselves to remote workers yet still being a party hostel... not a fan of that! I wonder if there are any Selina's out there that are better for us nomads.

doood yes! Selinas are so expensive and (in my opinion) not the best working environment. the one in Medellin was the same way. Great video. Keep them coming!

Way to go digital nomads, you must be making a lot of money to be able to afford working at fancy places like that. I enjoyed the video though. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!

@@CrosbyGraceTravels I think information about costs, places to eat, how to get from the airport (the best way), if you need a car or can you do everything on foot. I think that video of yours from Puerto Escondido is quite complete, something along those lines about Costa Rica and other places you go might be cool :) My biggest fear is feeling very alone, as I will be traveling solo, so tips for meeting people and making friends are also very cool.

Amazing video thanks so much for sharing! I felt so put off by the extra charge for co-working at first BUT I have a theory.. for people who make a living based off of digital nomad living, $12 is a fair price for keeping backpackers (vacationers) off of the fast-speed wi-fi. I know a laggy Zoom call does not look professional in my line of work (executive recruiter)

I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU HAD TO PAY $12 FOR COWORKING SPACE!! 😖 That's straight up ridiculous. I would be frustrated right along side you! Haha. We've paid to use Selina coworking spaces before but always assumed staying there would include that access. But glad you still enjoyed a beautiful week in Manuel Anotnio despite that!

Based on your complaints in this video, it makes it seem like their co-live program is an amazing deal. It includes free access to the co-working space and even the more expensive options are around $1200 a month. I’d be curious to hear your thoughts on their Coliving program if you ever try it

Having a channel with 50K subs and great quality content, I am surprised you would not invest 12$ to provide the viewers with a more complete review. Like we want to see this co-working space ! that is a in part why I liked on your video. That said, your video was still amazing. Thank you.
