I have the same setup , just whenever I use pen tool ,it's pointer changes to a dot instead of mouse icon so how you do that ??

i used onenote in senior yr of high school and LOVED IT. and now 4 days before move-in day i am considering switching to this for college as im upgrading my SSD anyway. if you have a tablet with no pen zones on the side, you can cover those with velcro and strap it to the back of your laptop screen for ease of transport. just make sure to put the soft velcro piece on the tablet because that's where your hands will be more often. if i like this one i will definitely switch over but i dont know yet. i will reply in 4 days

You should keep it at the side of your laptop it will be easier to write plus use one note it's much better

No reason to have OneNote if you don't use OneDrive. Your OneDrive account will be frozen one day for inactivity, which leds to error authorising in OneNote. It's better to have handwriting app without dependencies to outer services.
