Yes, I'm glad you're back and don't blame you at all for not making videos. I know first hand how time-consuming good artwork is. Just wanted to let you know that when I first found your channel, you inspired me. I got a Wacom tablet because of you and use it every day. Keep up the great work :)

Brilliant! LOVE the space that you created and the story that it inspires in the mind. In fact, I love that you recorded the process of not really knowing where you were going from the start. This is exactly what happens to me most of the time. It starts with the seed of an idea, like a dream and then unfolds into it's own story from there. Inspiring to watch as I am awaiting the delivery of my Wacom Intuous Pro and have to learn from scratch. Looking forward to watching more of your work.

it's ok to ramble too! just takes a bit longer for you. you can always over-compress it in post for us if you feel its too long, but being spontaeous in artwork always makes you feel better inside when it eventually turns out right!

It is good sometimes to start from a chaotic POV that way there is no preconceived thoughts on how you think it should look, maybe, it's best to let the painting go where it wants to go.
@JJcanvas9 жыл бұрын
+mars37us definitely true! But sometimes they don't go anywhere and at some point I was afraid that was going to happen during this recording :p But yes, sometimes a chaotic process does bring a more creative and surprising outcome :)

I have a question please, i've noticed this thing around many artists: why do you regularly flip the canvas horizontally? Is it to handle the composition? Or why? Does it help?
@MissAnimationMoa8 жыл бұрын
As someone who often paints people, in my experience a painting can look completely fine to you when you're in the middle of it, but then you flip the canvas and the anatomy/perspective can look completely wonky. And then if you fix it it will look even better when you flip it back to normal. It's basically just to get a change of perspective and people do it with mirrors too when painting traditionally!
@xlangdonmedia7 жыл бұрын
THIS is what I want to do. What is this called? Where can these be used? I am planning on going into some form of art when I end up going to college, but I'm not sure what kind of art I want to specialize in, but these sorts of things I would LOVE doing for a living (I already do a little bit, but I'm not very professional yet)
@Sini-Haapanen7 жыл бұрын
This is usually called "concept art", an image made to inspire or to give ideas for other media like illustration, game environments etc. It's one of the more creative artforms, as you have the chance to think of your own designs (and also one of the more popular jobs).
