Today not many carry any cash in India. This has been possible due to India stack: digital id, bank account for all, unified payment interface. It has been driven by the government, Reserve Bank of India and fintech's.

the ceo of paypal is right about the US never accepting it. Indians didn't either, because when aadhaar was rolled out there was a lot of anger and debate and resistance to it over privacy concerns but the government didn't listen. we had no other choice but to obey. Indian citizens were literally pushed to the corner into accepting aadhaar

There was an orchestrated lobby against the use of aadhar because the lobby knew that applications built using adhaar will enable all digital foot prints to be left behind exposing the bad deeds of politicians, drug lords, hoarders etc

Nobody was pushed to do anything. Aadhaar ID remains optional to this day. Supreme Court has ensured that no matter what public service or benefit it is, it can still be taken by a person not having an Aadhaar Card/Digital ID. So kindly stop with your propaganda.
