Btw, don’t be surprised if you are prompted to recalibrate your autopilot cameras after messing with the front camera area. Simply tap the recalibrate camera button in your safety settings to get them back online 👍🏼

Also be sure the fan up there is not blocked or your cabin camera will overheat and die like my did. Tesla Service Center confirmed that why my died. so route your cables well

Tesla really should have included a screen mirror as they demonstrated in the prototype. Ideally it would be able to show split views showing rear and side cameras.

Yeah I think some warnings should be - 1. Use the factory screw, that one they supplied can’t hold up to abuse 2. The GPS can get messed up if you don’t get these wires flat. Your Truck will appear 20m or more off the nav and thats not great. 3. The camera has limited mounting ability and imo down where they want it not great. I’d recommend a position with a aero cover up by the vault that matches the ascetics of the cybertruck. 4. Definitely need a helper or come up with a way to make the connections to the mirror and wires after you get that top part mounted. Trying to do this all in one action was extremely difficult and I never felt that mount was completely secure. 5. I have some questions about this rear cam wire and if it conflicts with side curtain airbags. I ended up removing mine due to all this. Appreciate the first attempt, I just can’t recommend it yet. I also don’t quite understand the front camera, and can say outside of default Dashcam on board its redundant. That would also reduce some of the wires we attempt to feed thru that hole and might even give a better install experience. I would even say the power cable is too long for this so maybe this is re-used from S/X/3/Y but just leaves a lot of fiddling in a cramped space. Kudos to putting the video together. If I had to mess with a camera to I would have been breaking it up over a couple days 😅

If installed correctly, nothing is permanent and it can all be taken out without voiding any warranty
