Great explanation. Only people, like you, that perfectly understand the matter can give so clear, precise explanation. I have a question: how do you measure Vn(the range of the noise)?

Sir, you have always been kind enough to give full explanations, so I ask of you, do you have a video on converting the digital back to analog. My confusion lies at the digitization of the signal. I would imagine a micro phone, and a speaker need to be arranged in an inverse arrangement to reproduce sound, but whatever the order, that implies to me a magnet and coil produced the signal, and therefore a magnet and coil are needed to interpret the signal, but this video does little to explain super imposing numbers to a wave. (my best approximation is to assign numbers to waves of varying degree within a bandwidth). The computer itself stores the information, which is nice if one wanted to look at its graph. My next approximation is that the receiving computer needs its own ac producing generator to reproduce the analog (could it be so responsive?), or perhaps some system of resisters and diodes. SO how is the image on the oscilloscope in anyway compatible with an alternating electrical current. It seems simple enough to allocate numbers to a picture, but not the same right to sound production. Thank you for whatever ease your answer may come in. If it may ever come years since it's post. Your videos are wonderful. I learn physics in my own time not on college time at this moment. Dr. Walter Lewin's classes are nice, but cannot bring me up to his speed. He'll throw around squared numbers like it's nobodies business. Thank you so much for your time spent on these videos, even if they didn't bring millions of dollars, or even thousands. Thank you. thank you. thank you "bow my head" "bow my head" thank you thank you thank you.

Oh, that it just me guessing the values (and doing so very badly). As you say, the average values would be higher. I was just trying to establish the general principle. Hope it doesn't confuse too much.

Can you pls tell how to covert our recorded voice audio affirmations into silent affirmations adding different mind wave frequencies like alpha theta Gama beta etc and make a final silent subliminal audio Also pls tell me any good software which can make this job easy or guide me steps if it can be also done by Audacity or so as I also use Audacity. Thanks with Regards

Very good video, thank-you! In the beginning when you are illustrating the longitudinal wave you say the waves are "rarefied then spread out", which is incorrect. The waves are compressed then spread out(rarefied).

In 10:00: Why are ther 3-1-1 for the last three columns? I mean in the first columns the value is much like the max/min, but for the last three it is more like the average value. I would have considered 5 for the 6th column. Can you explain that please?

Why does 65 536 gradations need 16 bits for each number to be represented?
@turquoisecat761
@turquoisecat761 6 жыл бұрын
It's to do with the binary nature of digital signals. In other words, 2 raised by the bit depth, so 16-bit gives 2 multiplied by itself 16 times (2x2x2x2x2.....) which equals 65,536. Similarly, 8-bit is 2 multiplied by itself 8 times which is 256 etc. Increasing bit depth essentially improves the precision of any signal which has been quantized..

Just imagine that on one day a computer will be able recognize and saperate all instruments in a mono song in accordance to those sound patterns, even if there're multiple instruments playing atonce, it sounds impossible but the example you showed makes me believe this theory, it would be cool to turn a mono song into karaoke.

I also dont understand how it translates to Kib/s. The digital resolution is 16 bit, so therefore multiplying by sampling rate (44056hz) should give the bits/s. However: 16*44056 = 704896 multiply by 2 since its stereo =1409792bit/s divide it by 1024 and should have Kib/s; 1409792/1024 = 1376Kib/s However, the actual audio quality of CDs is 1200Kib/s, what am I doing wrong?

How does this work though? How does the digital resolution of 65536 translate to 16 bits? As far as I know, using 0's and 1's 16 times, can create 16ˆ2=256 posibilities, not 65536. Can someone explain?

Its 2^16 not 16^2. Consider 3 bits. You could get 8 numbers ie 2^3
