couldn't understand q4 in question 4 : a and b is the value of the volumes not the amount of matter in the mixture , however when you calculated the difference between them you compared the amount of matter in the mixture which is something different completely. i don't know the topic well so i watched another video and she recommended making a table putting c and v and the amount of matter and with using the equation c=amount of matter/volume we can solve mixing problem in the sat hope you can explain further :) (it's the second time I'm taking the sat and the first time i didn't know that such topic is present in the sat math section so is it new ? ) and if you can please tell me in which sat practice test or where did such question appeared.

I would like to say something the correct answer to the question 5 has to be 59.067 in my opinion because you used the scale factor but by step wise process using similarity ratio it will be little different so in DSAT this question must say to round off to the nearest whole number so that students using both process would write as 59. what do you think ???
@Tutorllini2 ай бұрын
I think this is wrong. I used proportions as you describe and found: QJ = 196/15 QE = 371/15 JE = 21 so the perimeter P= (196/15) + (371/15) + 21 = 294/5 = 58.8 Same answer! :)

Hi, I just had a quick question! On the first question about the circle, when I tried to solve it I got up to making it a right triangle, but I thought it was a 3-4-5 triangle because one side is 12, so I thought that the base would be 9 and the hypotenuse would be 15. Why doesn't that work, and how would I know when to use the ratios and the special right triangles?
@Tutorllini2 ай бұрын
You need 2 of the sides to deduce if something is a Pythagorean Triple. Problem only gives you one side (12)! Does this clear things up for you?

why is 14.25 the new and 42 the old? thankssss
@Tutorllini2 ай бұрын
If you went from 14.25 => 42 the number gets bigger! And when you compute the percent change: You get a positive 194.7368 %change which means a % increase - this is WRONG because the question says p% LESS (so we must get a decrease). Another way to do it is to translate the equation verbatim, and either compute the multiplier, subtract 1, multiply by 100 OR replace it with the expression for a decrease multiplier: a is p% less than b 14.25 = (1-x/100)42 Then click on graph OR 14.25 = M(42) M=14.25/42=0.3392857 %change = (M-1)*100 = -66.07 p=66.07 Does this clear things up for you?
