So mostly we don’t need to read the whole passage. Just the claim

Yes! In most cases, just reading the claim will be enough. But as we saw in one of the examples in this video, sometimes you will need more context to understand the claim. So it's not a bad idea to read the whole text if you have time. Just remember that the claim is what you need to focus on, and dont let yourself get distracted by useless details!
