Rules and procedure writing is frustrating. I take exams for building inspections and some are written as, " no fewer that one sink shall be permitted in a bathroom". It's easy to read when you have time but in an exam where you have 1.5 minutes a question it can drive you nuts. I end up rewriting the code books while studying then take the exam. So much wasted time. Imagine Louis Lamour " The Trail Boss always impressed upon his Ramrod, ' Never have no fewer that one chuckwagon' ".

My "twist" replay was 60-61 NHL in Hockey Blast and each team got to draft players from their 84-85 team counterparts according to how they finished in the standings. Sixth place got to draft 5 players,, fifth place got 4 players, etc.... first and second place got to draft one player (since their points totals were only 2 points apart).

Congrats on 216 episodes! I believe I have listened to all of them, as I was on board from the start. Though I participate rarely in the chats, I find the hobby and discussions within the hobby very interesting and informative. I enjoy the direction of the show, whether it is just Dave and Ron or you guys with a guest, as I am especially interested when you have on game creators. I will join as a patreon soon, as you guys have far exceeded the small cost of support. Keep it up!

Dave, I remember Tom Milne had a Hockey Helper, that he created before Prof Football Helper. Maybe someone on the forum knows where you might find it.

On my table top, The Big Hurt, Frank Thomas, just can’t buy a hit. In my 2000 APBA project, he is hitting around .250. Not a good season for big Frank.

Ron, with the Strat Hockey game engine, I used to double-shift extreme season players like Gretzky, Lemieux, Phil Esposito, etc. I would play them on both PP lines and also sub them into 4th lines occasionally, to get them closer to their extreme stats.

I REALLY enjoy the rare plays I encounter in PLAAY’S Second Season - not only the results themselves, but the way that the designer has ensured that they ARE rare. One rare play every 6-7 games or so, or once every 700-800 plays. Makes each occurrence exciting!

I love the story about Ron Cey getting an inside-the-park homer in Season Ticket. My Dad's a Dodger fan who played 3rd base in high school, so his favorite player when I was a kid in the 70s was "The Penguin".
