Early 90's, I was walking through the hallways at Oakwood Apartments on Barham BLVD in the Burbank area of Los Angeles. As I was walking, I heard original music from down the hallway and once I got to the door which was open, I couldn't help but stop and look inside. There, I saw a state-of-the-art studio in the middle of the living room. DJ Fuze was on the couch and Money-B was washing dishes. Money B told me to come in. I was there kicking it with DU listening to versions of music that I never heard before. It was surreal. Then, low and behold Shock G comes out! They didn't know me from adam but were so gracious and humble. Rest In Peace and Power Shock G!

He was both the George Clinton (Humpty Dance/Kiss You Back) and the Miles Davis (Nuthin Dis Funky/Sex Packets) of Hip Hop.....all those characters, lyrically dope, Cold on piano, the most fun and entertaining videos....funny, brilliant, talented man. “The Unknown Rappers” segment on the Apollo???
