Hi Neil. You got an item wrong. Scoring on the exam of 720 isn't 72% because the bottom of the scoring threshold doesn't start at 0. So 100-1000 has a total point range of 900, not 1000. That is unless you get 100 points just for showing up. I ran into this same situation doing CompTIA Exams.

Make sure you’re ready to sit the exam well ahead of the August 29 exam expiry. We strongly recommend that you plan to sit the exam more than two weeks ahead of this date, so you have plenty of time to try again if you don’t pass first time. There’s no need to be concerned about the exam update as all AWS certifications are valid for three years and do not designate the specific version of the exam you took. So if you are ready to sit the exam now, then by all means do so.
