This song perfectly describes what happens when you scar a sociopath or emotionally destroy someone so deep in a relationship that they no longer care about what was. The only thing left is vengeance. Staying in the relationship only to manipulate them and destroy them further than they did you. It’s absolutely beautiful.

An observation I have made is this can apply to really ANY relationship, albeit romantic, platonic, friendships, parental relations, ANYTHING. This ISN'T restricted to romantic relationships. Say, if you abused your child for their entire childhood, they'll inflict unto you a fate far worse than death in some cases for what you did to them. Say, your best and only friends betrayed and subsequently harassed and tormented you for months on end afterward. Say they began threatening you with the things you've done in their company that they didn't mind you doing just a month ago. Say that they constantly stalked and obsessed over you even over a YEAR afterward. How would you feel and react? Wouldn't that make you want revenge? Those are examples that I have put to demlonstrate that this model isn't exclusive to romance. Please do tell me if I got things wrong below.

"i tried to be the lover to your nightmare... look what you made of me" these lyrics hit way too deep :( especially if you tried to help someone get out of a toxic relationship and they ended up hurting you
@slowedvsbattle3 жыл бұрын
The lyrics of this song are very reminiscent of Depression: I will keep quiet You won't even know I'm here You won't suspect a thing You won't see me in the mirror But I crept into your heart You can't make me disappear Til I make you Onset of depression, the person with this disease does not understand what they are feeling or why they are feeling this way. i made myself at home In the cobwebs and the lies I'm learning all your tricks I can hurt you from inside I made a promise myself you would never see me cry Til I make you The person with the disease discovers that they have depression, and tries to cure themselves, but depression will not let this fight be easy. I will be here When you think you're all alone Seeping through the cracks I'm the poison in your bones my love is your disease I won't let it set you free Til I break you Same thing as before. I tried to be the lover to your nightmare look what you made of me Now I'm a heavy burden that you can't bear look what you made of me look what you made of me I'll make you see Depression becomes even more spiteful and manipulative, trying to convince you not to seek treatment The devil within is the own depression.

i really love how this song can speak so well about the greatest enemy of the human being, that is it's own consciousness. This makes me think about how our own actions can lead us to poisoning our being and make the emergency of feelings like, resentment, bitterness, rage and revenge. i don't know if that was the intention but it fits perfectly. Please digital daggers, create more song's with this melodic style and well-expressed musical lyrics like this one.

The song reminds me of a tragic saga of someone betrayed by their lover. The betrayal left the protagonist scarred with nothing left; the song's eerieness is striking and poignant. Listening to the song reminds me of a relationship I will never have and makes me feel like I dived into a nineteenth-century Victorian novel where a dramatic breakup happened.

Listening to this amazing song makes me think of a kind of cosmic horror, where the principal character in a book feels persecuted, observed or manipulated by someone, even coming to suspect that his thoughts and feelings don't belong to him, but he is "infected" by someone else, in this case, the writer, who makes him suffer in his own story due to everything he keeps inside and needs to let go. Overtraining this makes me think "hey, maybe we are the characters, infected by someone else's weird thoughts", someone who can be both a God and a Devil, controlling everything about the world we know as "ours", (actually I write short stories with this concept sometimes). Just a great song I love to listen specially when I feel the control over things is escaping from my hands; thank you for making such a good music for all of us!
