The software automatically sets the gain when you drop a track in. It makes sure all the songs your drop in aren't too loud or too quiet.

One question might sound stupid is can you switch between USB and analog on the fly ie: if you are running both decks thru USB but for one song you say need to play off your phone will it allow to switch to analog and back to usb without crashing or resetting your sound outputs in virtual DJ I have heard of other controllers or USB mixers doing that

I watched the video comparing the VMS4 to the VMS4.1 and I noticed the emphasis on the improved soundcard. Does the VMS2 have the same lower quality soundcard of the 4 or is it more similar to the 4.1? Cheers

Hi phill, just bought this.. I have a question though. I own a power amp and passive speakers, but I also bought an active speaker in order o try it out.. now my question to you is, Can I use both the amp and passive speakers and the active speaker?

Dude nice job man! I have a questions about the pre-listening through your headphones. I can hear the song in my headphones and i also press the cue button to make it work but even when my volume is down i still can hear the song through the master output. what did you do so you can pre listen while the other deck is playing to cue up a song thru your headphones Thanks.

Can the VMS 2/4s internal sound card be used as the audio interface in a time code setup? Meaning, if I want to use a VMS with VDJ/Tracktor/Serato time code do I need a to buy another piece of kit (interface box)? As far as Digital Vinyl Systems, what would you recommend for someone on a budget ($200 or less)?

I don't understand why they don't make Headphone out on the units like traditional mixers, its all changed and makes it a little harder to cue up

hey phil, i just got my vms2 but when i turn it on the meters light up and then switch off but the cue, play and pause buttons do not light up and i cant control my software. also, no sound comes out when i connect the controller to my speakers amp through the small rca cables. please help!!

I ordered this but now i want a different one because the lack of effects and knobs, can anyone recommend something in the same price range with good effects and knobs I was looking at gemini cntrl 7, it also has to be midi with its own interface so I can use it with FL studio, Traktor and Virtual DJ.

This isn't slight on your djing or reviewing of items. I just hate that you cannot find any proper scratch tests on these controllers. Ive seen reveiws where people say you can scratch on them but most of the time the reveiwers are shit at scratching so its no indication of how good the units are, or else they're using shit spec laptops which are lagging like hell. Good review but Im still searching for a proper scratch test.
