Loved getting to meet so many creators on this trip! I was hanging out with talented @PavSZ in this vlog and in part 1 @DustinArmstrongPro made a little appearance as well - make sure you check out their channels!
Hey everyone! I'm super excited to finally be sharing my vlogs from when I went to Tokyo, Japan for the LUMIX S5II announcement. I was waiting for LUMIX S5II Lightroom raw support so I could edit my photos for this video :) I also want to mention that I had borrowed the LUMIX S5 a few weeks before this trip and it was my choice to bring it as my main photo + vlogging camera to Japan to be able to test it out before using this new camera LUMIX were announcing. I borrowed all this gear from LUMIX Australia, thank you!

Thank you for Part 2! Great shots once again~ Since you visited Tokyo, I recommend going to the Kansai region (Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Kobe). I also highly recommend going to Nikko (autumn colors here are awesome during October). Kawagoe is also a great little spot to see some traditional buildings!

Thanks for the tour! Great photos! To answer your question: I prefer one long video vs breaking into parts. A couple questions for you: Did you keep focus on continuous most of the time on the S5ii? For photography, I often leave it on single unless I know I'll be photographing lots of moving subjects. And what's the name of the vintage camera store in Shibuya? And were prices reasonable? Thanks again for the friendly and insightful video!

Nikko, in Japan has those old beautiful japanese buildings. Highly recommended. Takayama and Shirakawa go village are also gorgeous!! Almost like some fairytale village. Lovely places if you prefer older, traditional japan. Some beautiful temples also in Kyoto. Mt. Fuji gives nice background assuming you are lucky and clouds wont cover it. Kanazawa has beautiful old town because it was spared bombing raids during WW II. It has also gorgeous 17th century Kenroguen Garden.

@@ArchiesLens If you'll be in Kyoto by mid April, I believe you'll still have a chance to see sakura. Arashiyama: recommended for first time visitors. The bamboo tree road is a must visit. Uji: recommended if you like matcha. You can try local matcha drinks and food. Shimogamo Shrine: recommended to visit it in the afternoon to take beautiful photos. Kifune Shrine: Recommended to visit it at night. Takes more than an hour from the central area but worth visiting.

@danielbogos263

For user experience, definitely s5 ii. If you are used with sony issues such, terrible screen, etc, then a7 iv is beautiful. Using a7 iii which has the same screen as a7 iv, I always rely on evf because the screen is bad, no true exposure, the dynamic range of the screen is baaad. Its ok to use evf but trust me, when you have to look in the evf to see the results, or the photos you took, its annoying and your eyes get very tired. Shooting a whole day with a7 iv is tough, especially if you want to show your pics to your model. In video work, that screen is even more annoying, literally, you have to use your evf to replay the clips because on the screen, the colors are waaay of, pixelated and overexposed. If you are using s-log, than don't bother using scree, I personally used to check the exposure compensation and the histogram, thats it. Too bad because the 33mp from the a7 iv is soooooo freaking good. While shooting you have to wait to get home to import the photos in order to see the true look of the photos🤦🤦🤦. Very tough, definitely lumix is waaay better for video, while photography, about the same

when its for video s5ii for sure. when its for photography the a7iii is good too and you have a bigger lens selection like tamron. personally I would get the s5ii because it has better a display and better viewfinder too.
