Oh wow, thanks for the synchronise tip. I have been using copy and paste settings but didn't know about sync, which is even quicker.

raw files import lr is very slowly...

The speed at which your LR import goes depends on MANY factors: 1 - how many raw images you're importing 2 - are you making 1:1 or Smart Previews at the same time (that will slow it WAY down) 3 - your computer specs like processor speed and RAM
