You can use a Windows based PC as a digital signage player if that helps...

Does this work with Large Modular LED Displays like the ones for signage for businesses?

It is. You just need tp build the content in a different manner, since it goes through a filter of 1920x1080p resolution of an Android nedia player, and ends up on a screen with lower resolution and different proportions.

Thanks for this very instructive video. Does this work with a beamer instead of a TV? Connecting the device to the beamer with HDMI...

The media player connects to any tv via hdmi

Not the most informative educational piece for me as a layperson...but then it is probably written and produced by a company (NoviSign) for people with a strong tech. background. I can add one thing, it seems to be a strong endorsement of a relatively "new" technology that can be filled with potential pitfalls. My experience is that all is not a simple as it seems. Finally, thanks for the links and thanks for being available to help!
