What are digital signage players? Guide to digital signage media players

Digital signage players, also known as digital signage media players or just media players, are small form boxes or dongles that connect to any TV display type via HDMI. Once connected, you would need to connect the unit to either WiFi or hardwire for the internet.
From there, you will need to install a digital signage software app, like NoviSign, onto the digital signage player. The digital signage software app is what will check the cloud for content updates and download anything new. The digital signage player will then play the digital signage content onto the TV via HDMI.

You can use a Windows based PC as a digital signage player if that helps...

Does this work with Large Modular LED Displays like the ones for signage for businesses?

It is. You just need tp build the content in a different manner, since it goes through a filter of 1920x1080p resolution of an Android nedia player, and ends up on a screen with lower resolution and different proportions.

Not the most informative educational piece for me as a layperson...but then it is probably written and produced by a company (NoviSign) for people with a strong tech. background. I can add one thing, it seems to be a strong endorsement of a relatively "new" technology that can be filled with potential pitfalls. My experience is that all is not a simple as it seems.
