Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra in 2025?? It's an easy choice!

I could not agree more man! I still have my S21 Ultra in Phantom Navy. I tried the S22 Ultra and the S24 Ultra. But always ended up returning them as I could not say goodbye to my S21 Ultra. Best phone I have ever owned. Takes amazing pics, battery goes all day, feels great in the hand. I would say pound for pound the best second hand phone you can but for a low price. Nothing even comes close to it! For 250 bucks a phone that can still mix it up with the big boys is NUTS! I would recommend this phone to anyone. Also for next to nothing you can get the back replaced and throw in a new battery at the same time.

I'm rolling into 2025 using the Samsung S21 ultra. What a great phone STILL. My last phone I bought new on release day was the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G. It was a great phone. Then I started buying carrier based phones and was disappointed. So I bought an Amazon Renewed Samsung Galaxy S21 ultra and I'm very happy. Great video!

I totally agree. I recently bought an S24 Ultra because my S21 Ultra was on its last legs, and the S24 doesn't feel like much of an upgrade; it feels worse in some aspects. The screen's colors seem slightly washed out compared to my S21. I hate that the 10x optical zoom was replaced with a 5x; even with a higher-megapixel sensor, the photos come out worse, with less clarity. The S21 also feels much better in the hand; Samsung should really bring back the S21 form factor. I will say the anti-glare screen is phenomenal, and the AI is nice to have, but the 45W charger is only about 10 minutes faster than my S21's.

Mid range upgrades can be in 4 years Flagship upgrades in 5 years I upgraded s3 to note 9 to s24 ultra pretty good ❤❤

So true. I have the S21 ultra 5G with 16GB RAM 512GB No issues. If the S26 Ultra is the new King in 2026 I will probably upgrade. The Software upgrade coming to the S21, Android 15 and One UI7 (early 2025) is going to be awesome too. Like you, I think the S21 Ultra is still one of the best. and its long been paid for.

i couldn't agree more still have this phone, i normally upgrade to the latest phone everytime my contract ends, but this phone has just got something on me, it does everything i need it too, insane battery all games work fine, i only had one problem with it, i would ring people they would hear me and i couldnt hear them, even then i didnt wanna upgrade the phone, all i did was reset it and that problem went away. Phone is crazy and honestly if the s25 ultra doesnt blow me away when it comes out, ill probably just buy another 21 ultra.

I lost mine 1 yr ago. I bought a mid range Samsung A54. It was ok. Then I found it in an old coat pocket 🎉 I was so happy. It’s a beast. Shape style and cameras. Looking forward to it everyday. Happy Xmas all 🎉 great video.

Couldn't agree more, had my s21 ultra since February 2021, perfect phone, no issues since new. I believe the last security patch upgrade occurs February 2026, correct me if I'm wrong, I guess I would have to upgrade then, unfortunately, unless there is a way to apply after market security, for banking purposes?

Still rocking my S21U after over 3 years. Tried an S24+ for 2 weeks, but it didn't feel like much of an upgrade at all. Returned it and back to the 21 I went for the foreseeable future.

@@DigitalSlang Lol. Yeah, I loved having a flat display finally, but It just wasn't worth it. Also, the 24+ felt fragile. I've been pretty rough on my 21, with a case but no screen protector, I never worry about it, and it's still in almost perfect shape.

maybe the s21 ultra but not the regular s21. mine is suffering really bad now. the cameras aren't good in low light especially the selfie camera, battery life is subpar, and it overheats a lot, thanks to the hotplate known as the 888. you're better off getting the a55. only thing you'd be missing on is wireless charging.

I had this phone for three years. It was Exynos model, inferrior compared to Snapdragon version, but as you said, maybe the best looking Samsung model ever! I can't remember having phone for 3 years. In february I bought S24U but not love it as I used to love S21U. It was (or IS) model that started whole Samsung looking thing... Had silver kick-stand original Sammy case! It was looker! I wish I can say the same to my S24U.

KZbin faster on S21. The reality today in late 2024 is Flashgrip are more and more expensive without so many innovations / changes. Mid range and previous flash ship are cheaper and cheaper with almost same quality or almost no difference for avarage use IMO. I ll keep my S21 Ultra.

Good review, was this tested with updated 21? What was it running compared to the 24? Aiming to get a 21u soon refurbished after 2nd hand poco died just after 4 months use, & on xmas day! a few drops that might of not helped probably caused this but never had a phone go so quickly despite many drops & some in water multiple times.

I bought the s21 Ultra from Amazon Renew, it was $265 in what they called "excellent" conditions. I knew there were gonna be some scratches, but to my surprise this was actually in premium condition, no scratches or anything, it looked new. I believe the screen was replaced, that's why I haven't updated it as they say many NON OEM screens will cause one ui 6.1 to brick the screen. Other than that, everything else is great. I love my s21 Ultra... the only annoying thing is because the screen is NON OEM screen the fingerprint sensor is iffy and other screen perks are not available, but other than that the screen looks great.

@@DigitalSlang Yes, lots of talk about it on the samsung forum and reddit. Just google s21 Ultra update bricked and you'll see the links. Most of the problems happened when the update came out in June I believe, but I just don't wanna risk it. I love the phone too much.

My S21 Ultra camera SUCKS! I never dropped it, and it has always been in a case. The camera It will not focus from 1.0x to 3.0x without slapping it around some, and after I do that it's kind of blurry. Below 1.0x, and above 3.0x, it's fine, but not great. I'm thinking about getting an S24 Ultra, so I appreciate the video. If your camera still works, you're lucky. A Google search will show you that the camera problem on the S21 Ultra is common and there's no solution. There is a design flaw.

Bought mine at the end of 2021, and it's still a BEAST in 2025. No noticeable bugs, still getting regular updates, camera still gives newer flagships a run for its money, and the design is absolutely gorgeous. Will not be upgrading for the foreseeable future. 👍👍👍

@DigitalSlang it's hard to say how it compares because I went from a note 20 (bad battery life), to a heavily discounted s20 ultra 3 years later. My main priority was finding a phone with better specs than the note 20, that would still let me use my 1tb Microsd, and it was pretty much the final generation that had that slot. It also largely depends on where the model came from, when I was researching, I had to import mine from America or Hong Kong or something (to Australia) because the aus market had the inferior exynos chipsets, less ram, lower battery life, overall just an inferior product. There seemed to be about 5 different configurations of the same model depending on where it was marketed to. I've had it around 18 months now and it still runs pretty much perfectly, with the exception of camera software that crashes when I zoom in.
