Overkill’s probably the hardest working thrash band out there. They’ve never gone on hiatus once, they put out an album every 2-3 years on average, and they’ve been doing blue-collar touring for more than 30 years. Metallica may have all the success and glory, but Overkill knows how to keep it authentic.

I briefly met Bobby a few years back at a Whataburger in Mesa, Arizona just before a show. I didn't want to bother him when he was trying to grab a quick bite before he hit the stage but he was very cool and gracious when I told him I was a longtime fan and was looking forward to that night's show. The show was killer and Bobby was great as always.

I've seen these dudes twice this year, here in Atlanta, and they just go the fuck off! The live performance is awe inspiring quite frankly. "Who's in charge?!" I fuckin' love when Bobby says that. I remember growing up my mom and dad had so many different shirts, picks, sticks, memorabilia from overkill shows in the late 80s in Baltimore. Every time they would come my parents would go and would somehow wind up meeting Blitz and D.D. Its awesome to have that connection to them even though i came around a generation later.
