I think 1978 was the last time I was truly happy. Just beautiful. Australia as it was. ❤

Haha I can probably guess your age from this. I'm sure there were 50-year-olds who found the whole decade a real nuisance, whereas someone like me was frustrated by how how expensive and rare all the computers were, or better example, how hard it was to get a clean copy of music then. The CD hadn't arrived yet, and you had to put up with scratchy vinyl that got damaged every time you played it. I would've liked a job in a newsroom though 5:15 because you see those telex machines - they were a taste of the future, instant messages coming in. But it was for a select privileged audience then. Luckily the "gatekeepers" were straight up and honest, holding true the promise of the industry. And I've got to give credit to this decade being the last one where everyone was a healthy weight. Something went very wrong everywhere, all at once, around 10 years later. Not sure if Ronald McDonald could be entirely to blame, since I haven't been there for years, but he was doing a right number on me and my friends at the impressionable age right around this time of the film.

When radio was great. And what do we have now, Kyle and Jackie O, pitiful.
