Paul: Man, it's been so long I'm not exactly sure I remember. I was using either my MIM Stratocaster (sold about a year or two ago) or my Ibanez RG4EX1. I have some videos on both here on my channel. As far as the amp, it was either my Peavey Vypyr (original model, most likely; I don't think I had the VIP series back then) or my Crate GFX20 (also sold a few years back). That Crate had the cleanest sound of any amp I've ever bought-which isn't saying much because I've only bought three amps in total over the years! Just in case you were wondering as well, the pedal to the right of the Digitech is the MXR Prime Tone pedal. I've got several videos on it here on my channel as well. Carlino, I don't see your comment on here, so I'm just creating another comment as a reply. From what you told me it sounds like you have enabled stompbox mode. When you press the left-most pedal it say's "Dist On/Off" due to this reason instead of switching to various presets. It's a simple fix: Just press the middle and right pedals simultaneously with one foot and you will see it switch from "Stompbox" to "Presets" and you will then be able to switch presets like normal. It's a bit tricky so try it several times until you get them to press at the exact same time; that's the only way it will be able to switch back to Presets mode. Hope this helps.

rob Last Dude, if you have a tube amp like a Laney, why would you buy one of these? I mean, it's not that bad but it has that digital/plastic sound on the distortion that, for my taste, it's kinda awful. I only that it's a good option if you're a beginner who wants differents sounds and tones

I was thinking about using one of these pedals for modulations effects, rotary and univibe, to be secific. Does this pedal do well with other pedals running in front of it (overdrive, distortion, phaser, etc.)?

I've tried using various pedals with it and it seems that a wah-wah pedal works the best. Other pedals are sort of hindered in their full sound and tone capacities when using with multi-effects pedals because multi-effects pedals are created with a preset "chain" of how the effects are programmed into them. Since you can't "insert" a single stompbox in the chain, you end up getting an enhanced version of whatever stompbox you add depending on whether you plug it in before or after the multi-effects. For example, I found when I hook my Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer at the end of the Digitech RP355 it gave my preset a distorted sound but the delay was way over the top since the Tube Screamer increased the output of the signal. Overall you would generally want to play multi-effects pedals like this one on its own. It doesn't play too well with others. If you're going to add a pedal, I recommend adding it before the multi-effects pedal. That gave me the best sound I could manage than placing them after. If you haven't watched it, here's a video I released around the same time as this one that gives you a better idea of my opinions on this and how I prefer to link up my stompboxes with my Digitech RP355. ***** Thanks so much for your input. I will check out the other video. If I were to get one of these, I would only use one effect at at time from the box. All others would be switched off. This will probably be strictly for in-home use. I'd be the farm that no gigging will take place any time soon, if ever. I would consider myself a bit of a novice in distinguishing between an excellent signal and an average one. I doubt I could pick up on the subtle differences. My chain would go phase shift, OD, dist, phase, flange, chorus, digitech, delay, reverb. I'm just trying to do the best research before I dive in to buying! I certainly appreciate your experienced input! Thanks!

I was able to record with it on my computer just fine using its USB connection. That’s how I was able to access X-Edit with it on my computer. I don’t recall any latency problems I couldn’t fix by adjusting the recording sample rate in my DAW.

@@Achii_420 You May need a specific driver for it if you’re using it with Windows. I would recommend an actual DAW like Tracktion Waveform Free instead of Audacity. Many more options for recording and producing music.

It's been such a long time, I can't predict with much accuracy the actual amp, distortion, cab, etc. But to me it sounds like it might be either a Peavey high gain amp like the classic 5150 or even an Engl amp. If nothing else, you can't go wrong with either. You'll have to experiment with cab sounds on your own though. Those are not my area of expertise.

The whammy pedal is included in the RP355. You can also assign the volume and many effects parameters to the expression pedal.

It's been so long since I've had this unit. Some good things to check are to make sure all your connections are working, that all sources of volume are turned up, and that everything is completely plugged in. Hope you solve the problem.

I don't see why not. It has standard 1/4 inch L & R outputs as well as XLR outputs for a mixer. Just run your guitar into the pedal and plug it in from the pedal to your amp and you should be set to go!

Man you didn't show how to save or create a preset without changing the factory presets! Did you? If yes what time was it in the video???

It's been so long since I've had this pedal, but most pedals like this save the factory presets so they can't be overwritten, so you shouldn't have any worries about that.

I'm not sure. I haven't had this modeler for several years now. I would contact the manufacturer or search some online forums regarding system requirements. I don't see why it wouldn't work on Windows 10 though. Another idea: If you find one to purchase, search any reviews to see if anyone has mentioned system requirements. Hope this helps.

+monzon marcelo Not sure if this is a software issue or not. You may want to reset the unit to factory default settings or unplug it and try again. Otherwise, contact Digitech via their website for customer support or do a Google search for it.

While this is informative, you spend waaaaaaaaaaaay too long playing on each preset. All you need to do is hit a chord or two for each preset instead of playing a three minutes solo for each. Add to that all the over-explanations, I got bored and moved on to another video demonstrating the same thing. That being said, if I ever need to spend an inordinate amount of time on an effect, for whatever reason, I'll come back to these videos. Thanks anyway, for your hard work.
