excellent! amp modeling has gotten very good nowadays - much better than people think! I love my POD X3, but I'd like to try this one too!
@PumpkinSeed1714 жыл бұрын
@StratBanez101 That should work fine. You'll probably want to run the guitar cable path to the other pedals before the RP500, ESPECIALLY if you'll be using the RP500's Amp and Cabinet modeling. I currently run my guitar through a 10 band EQ, then into the RP500, and it works fine.

@StefanTylerHelton Im not sure if its the amp... i've used many pedals before and they've sounded great. The amp i use is a fender deluxe tube amp with a 15in speaker. It may just be a malfunction in the pedal itself... Ill probably get it checked out

i was thinking of buying this pedal, its great and amazing, however i have a question. say you made a preset with distortion and wahwah, would you be able to turn on and off the wah? because some songs i play engage the wah halfway through the solo. Would love hearing from you, great vid, thanks for your help. Acousticfrenzy

I bought the 500 as a stand-by pedal and the sounds are very good,also editing and creating are a breeze. lack of Midi is bad for pro-use and should be included,the rp1000 also lacks this so for the extra price the 500 is a better bet,you can play in preset mode and still change patches up or down so the extra 5 buttons are not needed,I have rigged a small lever that operates the patch button for quick-change and it works fine,velcro's on to the body when in use,pull off and store when not.

Could you make certain presets then assign them to the five stomp buttons? like say in a a gig your playing rhythm then click the number three stomp button and it switches to a lead sound?
@Whyrendog15 жыл бұрын
I'm guessing from looking around, the GNX3000 is the "lesser" version and to make up for it, they throw in stuff that you probably already have like Cakewalk. It sounds like the old digitech (thin) sound to me.
@Whyrendog15 жыл бұрын
I just actually heard a video of someone playing through the GNX. It sounds really good, but it really shines with multitracks. To my ear, this is good enough because I would just use basic effects, wah, etc; and use better effects (OCD, good quality Parametric EQ, MIDIVerb) to shape the sound. I'm going for a more classic tube sound with the HT-5H, but if you like this sound I would get this one and the OCD at the very least and see how that sounds.

@BBK7272 I would wager that it's your amp. Fender amps are great, but when you get into distortion effects and things like that they sound terrible. My personal suggestion for going for something like this would be a Marshall if you have the money, or a Line 6 Spider amp for a bit less.
@akaboo6915 жыл бұрын
if you get it make alive presets and studio presets when Live going threw a amplifier turn off the cab simulation when you are in the studio recording direct in use cab sim the reason you get mixed reviews may be due to the fact that people don't know how to use there pedals. So key points when going threw an amp don't use the cab simualtor, when in going threw a mixer use the cab sim

another good thing with this pedalboard is when you change the type of guitar you used, the sound change also, not like the pod, it's not masking the real tone of your Telecaster or your Gibson SG style.

Hi, i purchased the rp500 a few weeks ago and i think somethings wrong with it. maybe you could help... whenever i plug it into my amp or try to record a song, the pedal doesn't seem to have that full punchy sound like you have in your vids. Its rather quite and all the presets/distortions etc. sound choppy. I followed all the directions in the manual and tried many different setups. Is there something i need to do to the pedal that im not aware about? should i get it checked out?
