Can you digitize embroidery without embroidery software? Yes you can with My Design Center and a Brother Dream Machine 2! All you have to do is scan the writing, fix it up a bit and stitch! It's that easy! Even if you don't have a Dream Machine 2, the way it scans and digitizes is pretty cool!

I have the Luminaire and one of the first things I did was use the scan feature. I drew a snowman face and his buttons! So fun! Thanks for this video! ❤️

Thanks so much for this video, very to the point. I just wanted to mention: It really works great with silhouettes. I scanned the silhouettes of my two dogs and it stitched out pretty nice (as long as you don’t have too big of a design, because all the solid inside of the dog becomes pretty heavy on the fabric). It’s interesting, that you still can purchase TheDreamMachine 2 in North America. I got mine in October, and a few weeks later they came out with the Luminaire in Europe. As soon as it was on the market, you couldn’t purchase TheDreamMachine 2 anymore. As long as sellers still had it on stock, you where happy to grab one, but it isn’t produced any longer, at least not in my country, and the Luminaire is a beautiful machine, but it’s far more expensive. me too....keep positive, maybe one day. Because the Luminere is out you may be able to find a used one - everyone is trading in their DM2 for the new Luminere. I have heard of lots of people getting amazing deals.

You may be able to find a good used one for sale. I know people who got the new Luminaire and are selling their Dream Machine for a lot less than the new ones go for. If you have a dealer near you, they may be able to help you out. My dealer lets people put their mahines In her shop to sell. Good luck!
