So enjoyed your demonstration. I have always wanted to learn more about advanced embroidery. I have been in the business of over 25 years and love the digitising side. Thank you for all you do to advance people like me.

Yes, I have done FSL. My first efforts were not successful until I watched your past video and followed the instructions, that helped a lot, thank you.
I have been wanting to know how to digitize fsl and so far you are the only one that will try teaching. I'm not familiar with Hatch, I have Wilcom so it's not easy for me to follow your stitches even slowing everything down. I'd like for you to do a class in fsl, and I'll do my best to follow your stitches. Pleeeease!!!!!

Hi I am looking at buying a new embroidery machine for my embroidery business. Are you still pleased with your Redline and would you recommend this for a small company?
@janthomas76165 жыл бұрын
Yes would really love to learn digitizing FSL correctly, I have tried a few designs and they are either too rigid or satin stitches do not hold together and unravel around edges sometimes
First, I would love to learn fsl. Second - some more explanations like in your other clips would have been great why you did what. Third - I didn't get where the scissor lace is from (a link would be great) and fourth - who made the beautiful pictures in your background and are they painted or stiched?

Hi Trulla, I didn't go into much detail as that would be a full class in itself :) However, it is something we'd like to do in the future. A link for the designs will be coming shortly, just waiting for it from our friends at Classic Sewing :) I'll get back to you with a link as soon as I have it. I made all the designs on the wall and they are all stitched :) You can download all of them and choose from another 27000 quality designs with our Embroidery Legacy Design Club. Here's a link with more info :) www.digitizingmadeeasy.com/embroidery-legacy-design-club/

@@EmbroideryLegacy Thank you so very much!! I am enjoying your lessons with Hatch and have asked my husband for your 3 part course for Christmas. :) I use Artistic Digitizer but am finding Hatch much easier to use. Will you be doing in-person classes in the future?

Just a question, there seems to be multiple segments. Is there a reason why you didn’t duplicate or use the circular layout? As usual, lots of things to observe and place in my own arsenal.

It is one of the most frequent request I get as well. I always suggest they buy it from you, Sue Box or Zundt. Even as an advanced digitizer I am not going to re-invent the wheel when there are so many beautiful digitized lace designs for sale on the internet. I will stick to my areas of expertise (animals, birds, logos & such) and leave the lace to the experts.

I am a novice with machine embroidery, but I am very experienced with graphic design. I use pe design. It would seem to me (as a novice) that it would be easier to cut and add bleed to layers in something like illustrator, pre subdivide your image by stitch type, and then recombine in software. Your designs are lovely. I wonder if it would be easier to handle the graphics digitising in dedicated vector graphics software and deal only with the particularities of stitching in the embroidery program. My reasoning is that I am assuming (maybe wrongly) that image processing in embroidery software will necessarily be harder and lower quality than a vector graphics program just because the embroidery software will focus on the quality of the stitch design interface rather than the image processing algorithms. I have no idea. I guess I will try it both ways and decide.

Kristina W layering is the issue when trying to use a vector image and convert the objects to stitch types. Most graphic designers are not Embroiderers and don’t tack into consideration the theory of applying thread as opposed to ink. Adjustments need to be made as not to create bullet proof designs and unnecessary trims and jumps. As a person who knows my end objective is to create Embroidery it would be a waist of time to use a graphics program to create my design and then a Digitizing program to generate the stitch objects. I’m doing the same job twice to achieve the same result.

Wilcom makes both programs and they are very similar with each other. The transition would be very easy as long as you are familiar with the location of the tools within your program.
