Believe me... Whenever I travelled with PIA, I always wished to meet you hoping you'd be flying the plane. It was never meant to be. Unfortunately time only goes in one direction.

Nusrat, you mentioned Raja Rauf, Chief Instructor of RWP Flying club at Chaklala Airport. You may or may not be aware that he was involved in yet another crash along with his number 2 somewhere not too far off from RWP/ISL air space. I was in the Islamabad office of CAA Senior Airworthiness Surveyor/Inspector (Late Afzaal Immaduddin) when Raja Rauf and his Dy Chief Instructor narrated their ordeal of that crash. May Allah bless his soul in eternal peace and with all due respect, Raja Rauf was damn lucky to have survived 2 air crashes.

First of all it’s very inspirational that you ended up being a professional pilot after this incident. Wow. How long did it take for you to recover mentally from this ? Yes we do need a system of checks and balances for aeroplanes . Whatever we have is clearly not enough . I’m sure you already have this planned but please do include your detail analysis of what you think happened on the fatal crash which took away junaid from us .

I will have to dig into my log book for the precious days that I took off after the crash. Hmm...I will look into the details of that ATR crash and try to explain it in a non technical term inshaAllah
