Doc what is atrial septal defect? My scan cant clearly see the 4 chambers at 27wks. should i worry?

Hello. The heart's upper 2 chambers are called the atria (singular: atrium). There is a wall between the two atria which is known as the interatrial septum (or atrial septum). In atrial septal defect, there is a hole in this wall. If the 4 chambers weren't seen properly, follow up scans are required to scan all the chambers properly and to rule out a suspected atrial septal defect.
