भला दिलीप कुमार सिनियर हो, पर बहुरंग की कला तो सिर्फ अमिताभ बच्चन ने ही पेस किया अब तक । इसीलिए दिलीप साहब ने उनकी मेहनत और प्रतिभा देखकर फिल्म शक्तिके टाइम मे यह लडका लम्बी रेसका घोडा है कहा था । बाद मे फिल्म ब्ल्याक देखके तो दिलीप साहब ने ऐसी स्तरकी अभिनय मै तो क्या पूरी दुनियाँ मे कोइ कर नही सकता , अगर अमित को सम्मान करने के लिए आप लोग जहाँ भी बुलाले मैं आउँगा कहा था ।

correct ...yeh sceen is film ka sabse behtreen sceen hai....isme amitabh ne wo kar dikhaya jo unke jaise actor ko karna chahiye,..without words.. He shows love and respect and care towards his father (dilip kumar). Both are outstanding in this film. Dilip kumar have bigger role and more dialogues , scenes and frame in this film... Actually lead role and character in this film is dilip kumar.. Amitabh have less dialogues infront of dilip kumar... No doubt if amitabh is having eual dialouges and frame then definetly he will over power Dilip kumar in every frame. like Rajkumar did in Saudagar. Anyway film is the milestone of these 2 ever ledgends produce by bollywod .

as young vieweres , we rally liked the movie. Then as we graduated to amore matured level , understood the politics of Bollywood. Every Hindu would be a villain and a Katwa ( original and character) would be God-loving honest man( Shades of Grey),that day till date -spanning 20 years, I put a preference tick of watching a movie from Bollywood. I am sure there would be a lot like me , not enforced.

All said and done, Dilip Kumar is the Hero nd Amitabh Bachchan is the main villian of this story. A great actor like bachhan shd hv rejected this one. Im a big B fan. Saw it many times in first release. Dilip was far ahead in acting.

What you say is partially correct. For a true actor, it doesn't matter whether he or she is playing a villain or a Hero. Important to him or her is the weightage of the role in the movie and its impact on the audience.
