The fort forms the inner citadel of the city of Dinpanah. It is located near the expansive Pragati Maidan exhibition ground and is separated from the Dhyanchand Stadium by the Mathura Road, Delhi. It is one of the top tourist places to visit in delhi.

The building is not Shrshah's tomb. It was Humaun's library called 'Ashtmandal. Humauñ fell from its stairs and died. Pl check & correct. Shersha's tomb is in Sasaram (Bihaŕ).
