I’ve been using the SOUNDBOKS and DFB for a few months and it’s definitely the best combo for house parties where I can be loud but not go over the top with my powered setup. I’ve even used this combo to add a satellite speaker across a yard from my main powered setup.

Great to know this and to hear from someone who's actually using it out there in the wild. Thanks for sharing.

It's def the future. hope they work with more DJ Controller companies so they can get the transmitter built in a battery powered all in one controller like Denon prime go or Numark Mixstream pro go. now that would be completely wireless!
@digitaldjtips15 күн бұрын
Yes, honestly though? In 5 years we reckon Bluetooth will be doing that - low enough latency simply with Bluetooth already exists, it's just not available in hardly any gear yet.
@bboymac8414 күн бұрын
@ well they need to get on it so we can buy! They allergic to money or something! 🤷🏾♂️😂🤣
@jonathanpriddey809313 күн бұрын
We use a Denon Prime Go with the transmitter
@jonathanpriddey809313 күн бұрын
@@digitaldjtipsBluetooth is inferior to SKAA, it wasn't really developed for audio... SKAA is dedicated audio and works on a far superior resolution, not just lower latency... Cerwin Vega have integrated SKAA into their live mixers, so I'm sure the DJ kit will catch up soon
@bboymac8413 күн бұрын
@ they need to put the transmitter inside the mixer! Done! No wires!

Hey Phil. Really pleased you've got your hands on one of these for review. I'm close to hitting the button but wanted to see another DJs opinion. Can I ask if you also tested it against the bigger soundboks? Would love to know if the bass difference is worth the outlay, especially given the import costs to the UK, and the lack of inputs

This looks really great. Thanks for the review! In terms of ecosystems, do you imagine alpha theta upping their line of wireless speakers to compete (building off the wave 8)? I ask only because I went in on the wave 8 and am now second guessing 😁
@digitaldjtips15 күн бұрын
Who knows? A Wave Eight SonicLink sub would indeed be great

@@TheVantveen lol. I hear you, but it seems like they're here to stay. Hopefully they hear the legitimate, collective complaints and do right by their consumers. And, sorry to hear about your AZ! That's rotten!! I was all set to order one myself but with the delays went with the opus quad, which I don't regret (I know that's a divisive piece of kit too, but I'm enjoying mine 🤷 Hope your AZ gets sorted soon!

@@dowdfather_ thanks ! The Opus is a beautiful piece of equipment 👌🤌. Enjoy your time with it. I just wait it out I reckon. To cancel the order only to be in the back in the queue later when it finally hits the shelves was another option, but we decided to wait.. lol.

I’ve been using tha skaa wireless technology with my two SOUNDBOKS 4 for a while now and it’s amazing. The 19ms lag is possible to hear though when I’m mixing. I find myself mixing in the headphones ( with both ears 😊) sometimes. Not using the cables is awesome for the easy set up and it works perfect, never failed me. Also nooo problems with battery time. I love it and many thanks for the thoughts and reviewon the sub base. It’s been hard to find review online. It looked awesome with the smaller SOUNDBOKS (and also with your dj set up 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼). Thanks

Yes, 19ms (especially if your laptop already has a bit of latency) is just about noticeable, but you can live with it.

If someone would come out with a speaker like the new RCF's that Nick Spinelli just reviewed, but fully wireless, then I would love to have a full wireless setup. I feel like that size speaker falls right in between the smaller and larger SoundBoks. Although, maybe I'm wrong and the smaller SoundBoks is comparable. Thoughts?

DFB is not just for Soundboks. Use DFB to complement virtually any full-range PA speaker. Also, any powered speaker (QSC, JBL, EV, Mackie, etc.) can be converted to SKAA wireless just by adding a pro receiver such as Streetheart by Dillinger Labs

🤔🤔🤔🤔 ok, and how long does the battery lifetime? 4 hrs, 8 hrs in continue use, because it would be unpleasant if it turned off in middle of a party...
@bboymac8415 күн бұрын
DFB: Battery Life: Up to 40 Hours at regular listening volume Charge Time: Charge from empty to full in 2.5 Hours Dani Transmitter: 14 hour run time from a full charge using its internal rechargeable Li-Ion battery Soundboks Go: 40 hours of playtime at moderate volume probably 5-6 hours at full blast.

Can easily play upto 5 hours on max. volume on my SB4 and the SFB easily 8 to 10 hrs. But you never play a whole gig on max volume. So 10 hrs is no problem.

The production quality of your videos is wonderful! Colors and resolution are beautiful. A couple of suggestions that are nit-picky. Add a bit more space between you and the background and where a solid color shirt when you’re shooting in front of the bookcase. Great audio, easy to follow dialog. Keep up the good work.

I mean we already have wireless technology that’s INSANELY fast. These companies are definitely taking inspiration from mouse companies like razer Logitech etc who have wireless mouses with dongles you plug into your main device that can transmit up to 8000hz. It’s definitely the future, there’s no delay with wireless currently with this technology
@Akemi2_113 күн бұрын
I know there’s a delay no delay = can’t notice it

Issue is there is MUCH more data in music than a mouse... even Bluetooth can transmit small amounts of data pretty much instantaneously.

@stefanz948513 күн бұрын
That…. And then the 19ms latency… on top of the regular latency from the audio device… no thanx.
@justkiddin198012 күн бұрын
I always think about the amount of people that have phones these days, they all possibly cause interference and when you have many people at one place at the same time all transmitting and receiving signals at the same time, your best bet is to go all hard wired..And if at all possible mostly digital..
