Awesome tune, Dillon! My stepfather went to Heaven 26 years ago from cancer. Him 41, me 12. Sadly, I've not had that great of a relationship with my biological father. So from 8-18-90 to 7-14-95, my Mom & stepfather were happily married, & we were a family. He was more of a father to me than my birth father was. I hope you do well in country music. This is what this country needs. Parents that give a damn about their kids. Kids that recognize how lucky they are to have parents that love them enough to discipline them when they need it. This kind of music helps people realize how blessed they are to have parents in their life that were willing to go through the pain of their child disliking them in the moment even though it’s what they needed in the long run. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I heard this song yesterday evening and immediately thought of My Son. I felt like it was written for Him. He is a hardworking young man at 35 years old. He moved back out to the family farm and last night was leaving to go out of town and as he left I had an uneasy feeling. I happen to hear this song and I sent it to him. It was 30 minutes later that He called and told me he had been in a wreck 🥺 and he was over 50 miles from home.He had just bought the truck yesterday. I was so upset 😭. He kept assuring me that He was ok. Being a Widow, so many thoughts went through my head. Then I thought about this song. After looking back to the time I sent it to Him and the time He called me was exactly 30 minutes. He later told me that at the time I sent it, the accident had already happened, but He did not get to hear it because of poor cell service. God knew my heart and My Son was ok. I Love Him so much and I know His Dad is looking down from Heaven on Him. HE IS THE SON OF A MOMMA AND DAD THAT LOVE HIM WITH ALL WE HAVE 💙💙💙💙
