Today I show you a new feature Unity AR Team added to Version 3.1.0 of AR Foundation where we can now easily add a AR Occlusion Manager to the camera in order to get occlusion working. This video also shows you few considerations to take when upgrading since my project broke due to naming changes on methods and also classes used in my AR Foundation Essentials project.

Which Apple devices does this work with? Does it require a depth camera? I need to find a way to do occlusion for objects already made in unity. For example, a face mask, I want to hair on top of the mask to automatically be cut out. Would appreciate some input dilmer!

Hey, Do you think this can be done in Unreal? In4.26 there is now a property in the AR session config "Use Scene Depth for Occlusion" and there is "Use Person segmentation for Occlusion". I enabled it and tried on an IPad Pro but they do not seem to be doing anything for me...

Walking behind the object has little to do with Occlusion, since objects will be placed in front of you by default. It's standing in front where u notice the difference

Hi, could you explain me why i get errors in Catalina during runtime on iphone? I wanted to do AR body skeleton. But I cant run the app. Newest unity, iPhone 11 pro. Just black screen after running app. Please help i like very much your tutorials

Thank you and I am using an iPhone 11 Pro, I think for this video I had an iPhone XR back then.

@@dilmerv I see. I'm developing for android but unfortunately it looks like it's impossible for now to develop it. Do you have some links to the information or news for this features that are currently in development?

Hi man we have a problem about xr webgl . Is not working. We have problem like this "NotSupportedException: No image tracking subsystem found. This usually means image tracking is not supported." We would be very glad if you come back.

can i get some help on people occlusion. need step by step process and related code if any .I am using 2023.1.14 version of unity. I added AR Occlusion manager as well. but its not working.

AROcclusionManager - Does not work correctly with objects (in this case, multi-storey buildings of real size) that are located far away (15 meters or more). These objects are initially displayed on the stage. If there is a Temporary Smoothing check mark, then the object is not visible, if you remove the check mark, then the object becomes visible, but the mesh is not cut correctly, that is, there are no objects in front of the camera that interfere with the view of the object, but it still cuts the mesh in random places, and quite large pieces are cut off. How can this be fixed? Have you ever encountered such a thing?

When I am using 3.1.3, I can't find "AR occlusion Manager", any one the same? I can find AR occlusion Manager in 4.0.2 but black screen

Hello, I already updated ARFoundation / ARCore / ARKit to version 3.1 and when adding AR Occlusion to my camera, when opening the app the Occlusion does not work :(

I don’t believe ARCore supports people occlusion or at least I can’t find anything in their docs referencing they support such features.

Great work, but the repo code is getting outdated so fast :( This is 6 months old and it's not working anymore.
