Hello! Thanks for the video!! Is there some way I could do this with the object first being with low opacity when you are choosing where to place it, and then when I have it where I want to, it changes to 100% opacity? :)

Look at the docs about materials to see how to adjust the alpha value via script.

Is there a way to lock the rotation of an AR plane or of a plane instantiated on an AR plane? I need a floor for a minigolf game but it seems to rotate slightly with the camera so rigid bodies slide or fall off the plane without force being applied.

Using your PlacementWithDraggingDroppingController script or Unity's PlaceOnPlane script, I'm really wanting to match the Placed Prefab's rotation to the rotation of the AR plane it's on. We're able to change the Placed Prefab's position based on the AR plane it's raycasted to. So is there any way get the rotation of that same AR plane? Then I can just write a simple line of code like this: PlacedPrefab.transform.rotation = ARplane.transform.rotation;

Hello Dilmer, I have a issue with this example. Whenever I add the TextMeshPro - Text, Unity replaces the Transform component of the statue with Rect Transform and the statue prefabs doesn,t show any more (some other things change as well). Can you explain a little better what other changes are you making on the statue prefab so it keeps working? I´m using Unity 2019.3.13f1. Thanks in advace!

I just had an idea.. is it possible to save and load a change to an AR object at runtime? Example. I'm placing out an AR object (ground plane) and I'm then adding other objects (tree, flower etc) to this ground object. But I'm interested to know if it is possible to save this state of the models (or can I say the complete "scene"?) and spawn the result at atnother time? Is it possible to perhaps save the Objects as a new GameObject (Can I create an empty GameObject in my objects library and parent these objects to that empty GameObject at runtime?) Hope you understand what I mean... would be cool to try

Hi Maria and thank you for your question. What you ask is very possible and there is really no 1 solution, this could be achieve in many different ways. One option could be to create a data structure that keeps the transforms of your objects and hierarchy then when you load the scene after saving the data structure you can load it, if you want to keep track of where you placed the objects and also save that then you need to look at ARWorldMap implementations which are also available in AR Foundation. There are many options and I will look into bringing some of these ideas as videos to my channel thank you.

I haven't tested it this with that version, download 2019.2.2f1 which is the supported version for this project. In a few days I will upgrade it :) thanks for letting me know.
