Except he isn't, and lied about in his autobiography. Ryan Campbell (WA and Aust) played it well before Dilshan and probably so did Doug Marilier from Zim. Doesn't take anything away from how good Dilshan was at it but he didn't invent it. I can't understand why subcontinent fans do this...like they say Dhoni invented the helicopter shot, and SRT the ramp over slips off a bouncer???

Dilshan has the best scoop. Its so perfect.. that he must've practised that shot a lot. He uses the pace of the ball and just sends it right over the keeper's head. Its not easy but brilliant to watch you can actually pull it off 👍
