Hey ! , thank you so much for the amazing tutorial it helped me alot and changed my drawing for my doll’s eyebrows 180ْ ! , i just wanted to ask , do you thin the flow aid with water or you put it directly?

Thank you! I'm gla dit was helpful! I follow the directions on the bottle and dilute the flow aid before using it. I actually have a dropper bottle and premix the diluted flow aid with water and keep it in a ready to use dropper bottle so I don't have to mess about every time.

This has helped me get substantially better at eyebrows, but I run into many issues I have no clue how to solve. Sometimes my paint after thinning has many small chunks? I always use a clean pallet to put paint on. I have played around with thickening the paint and thinning it to see if it helps. Not really. I use soft body acrylic by liquitex

Those straight lines you do after thinning the paint.., do you draw and paint aside from faceups? Is like you use your shoulders and arms to move your wrist to create the straight lines... Thank you for the diluting tip. I will start my first faceup.

do you use the liquitex flow aid diluted with water, as it indicates in the instructions or do you use it straight out of the bottle?

I don't have some convoluted mixing recipe for it, I just use an eyedropper and add water and flow aid drop by drop to my paint.

It was helpful could you do a video of you applying it to a doll I recently started face ups and having trouble to apply my diluted paint to the dolls face my hand gets all shaky and its very difficult

BJD Fanatic I have some footage of me working on my Iplehouse Asa: Working on Asa which you might find helpful. I'm afraid there's nothing I can show you or any trick I can tell you that's going to help steady your hands though, that comes with time and practice I'm afraid.

What I have found steadies my hand is trying to relax. I practiced lines in a very relaxed way over and over and then on my painting later on after much practice being relaxed. I think sometimes my fingers held some tension when I was concerned about whether my lines would be good....if that makes any sense : P

i have trouble with not having enough paint on that thin of a brush, its like I run out and have to go over it again any suggestions

You can try using some flow aid, or adding a humidifier to the room, or perhaps using a larger brush that still has a fine tip

Can i use acrylic paint retarder? Is the result the same or not?

I'm not sure but it's worth a try! It's probably not hugely different? But I can't say for sure!

I was just wanderin, so normal acrylic paint wan't do ? because I think that this acrylic paint for models are a little bit diferent than acrylic paints for painting art.

Emila You can use normal acrylics, but make sure they're Liquitex or another art-quality acrylic, not craft-quality or student-quality.
