+Mohan Bhargava honestly I don't think so, it was required of his role. I think Deepika was trying to hard to get Mastani, and this is such a strongly scripted character that you can't really go wrong & any actress would have shine in it. Ranveer and Priyanka got the balance right. Hats off to SRK and Kajol who can shine in such a film with weak story.
