The police department should adopt systems like those used in the USA, with cops stationed at various points with those speed guns or other speed-monitoring devices to keep people in check. If someone's flying past the limit...they can pull them over right there, hand out a ticket, or even something harsher if needed. Things are seriously getting out of hand here, and having that kind of system would at least make people think twice before speeding or rash driving . We need some real order on these roads!

I was there and saw it .. the main reason was the dumper came too close to the cyclist . I didn't see for sure if the vehicle hit him first or if he hit the rails first and from there he felled below the dumper and his cycle felled to the opposite side. All that aside it was clearly the dumper fault. He had all the road but chose to go towards the cyclist. Looking at it, it felt like the dumper was trying to intentionally scare the cyclist..

Police needs to take stricter regulations towards dumper trucks because dumper trucks ply every nook and corner to deliver loads( unlike carrier trucks which only ply on highways). Statistics shows that road accidental death involving dumper trucks is high, something needs to change.

Time for the Road and Transport Department to restructure a new system for issuing drivers licenses by categorizing them into standard light vehicle or 2 wheelers and upgrade to heavy vehicle licenses who wishes to do so only after training & test. Verify drivers have the required skills to drive from 2 to 50 tonnes etc. It can generate revenue for the transport department, with funds reinvested into improving road and traffic infrastructure. Even underage without credentials obtain licenses without proper verification of their age, posing significant safety risks to innocent public.
