I got one start with YJMs and the other with HS4+3 . Both pickups are awesome

Cesario could play a broom and it would sound amazing. In the bridge position, the DiMarzio has more "bite" and more of that classic tone. I think the Seymour Duncan is better in the neck position than it is the bridge position. It's a warmer and fuller sound that is quite nice. It's exactly what I expect from that switch position. However, I like the DiMarzio best overall, possibly due to hearing its sound on the albums I like so much. I would be thrilled to achieve any of these tones myself. Overall, I would also prefer the DiMarzio in the neck position, but the Seymour Duncan's tone is undeniably sweet.

I have hs4/hs3 combo and I always thought the Dimarzios are more "organic" ..also have fury neck ....Dimarzio is better by far ! Playing as always amazing Cesario!!!

There is also a parameter that we could look at: YJMs are twice as expensive as HSs. I think there is reason to question this.

DiMarzio is the better one. Its woody, crisp and articulate. SD is too wooly and mid-heavy. I think Yngwie got lost in his search for the the ultimate tone. As many other artists have done. Another thing - why did your amazing take on Las Abejas disappear? Keep it up! 👍

I prefere the yjm pick ups, them are more metal tone . Especially the neck position one, sounds amazing.

Why you prefer the scalloped fretboard guitar over the standard non-scalloped one?

I know you wanted Cesario to reply, but I think it's the same reason for everyone scalloped necks help give more control for bends and to some extent for vibrato. I scalloped one of mine myself and it takes some getting use too. They feel very different when you first start playing one. Not everyone likes how they feel.

Duncan Fury has more Mids, thats why it sounds more “Body” Perfect for Solo/leads But for me the Dimarzio is more “Yngwie”. 😊

Awesome comparison, Right now I have the HS-3 and am thinking of changing to the Seymore Duncan YJM you think it's worth it? I kind of think the YJM's are hotter pickups? BTW great playing;)

FWIW I had a YJM set in one of my Strats but they didn’t last long. They were both strident and cluttered in the mids; they remind me of overpowered, muddy humbuckers. The HS 3’s are very low output but I find that really helps in articulation. They’re full, clear and dead quiet. It’s obviously a matter of personal preference, there’s no right or wrong

o Seymor parece mais definido mais tight o som, mas o Dimarzio ele tem um grave principalmente nas nas nota abafada que o Seymor fica devendo. Mas ao vivo não deve fazer tanta diferença. kkk
