It's always a lot of fun watching you react to Dimash! I'd like to remind Dimash fans that the MTV youtube channel Friday Livestream returns on May 14 from 5-8 pm New York time. Dimash just barely managed to finish in the #1 position in requests on the last airing of the show so will need us to show up in large numbers this Friday to type REQUEST DIMASH in the chat as many times as possible during the program in order to keep Dimash at the top. Those who want to help Dimash in return for all he has done for us should calculate their time zone differences and tune into that program every Friday to vote for Dimash. He is clearly the class act among what is mostly mediocre pop music artists and it would be ashamed to let him fall to any of the other acts. The MTV Friday Livestream usually becomes accessible about 30 minutes before it's scheculed start of 5-8 pm New York time.

I just wish his English songs would have the same depth in lyrics than the Russian ones. Whoever writes these isn't making hits or art, just weird adaptations of Western music.

I like many lyrics of Dimash's English songs. 'Screaming' lyrics are actually very poetic and deep, at least to me. Also 'Golden' and 'Lay Down' have some interesting phrases that make me think deeper... But if there is an English song with deep lyrics, it's 'Across Endless Dimensions'. They are spiritual - the song is speaking about a soul, reaching the core of someone's being and so on. I agree that the lyrics writing seem to vary in different languages and cultures. Lyrics in Dimash's Chinese songs are always very poetic, also in his many Russian and Kazakh songs. And if we take his Italian originals 'Olimpico' and 'Passione', their lyrics are high poetic art (by Lydia Vinogradova, a wonderful lyricist). However, maybe the quality and depth of lyrics depends a lot from the genre of a song? Dimash's English originals are almost all pop songs. Lyrics tend to be more poetic and deep in those serious neoclassical songs compared to lighter pop songs suitable for dancing. Note that 'the Across Endless Dimensions', which indeed has deep poetic lyrics is not pop but neoclassical.
