I have to say this and I’ll probably take flack for it, but I never really liked the song before. I mean it came out when I was in my 20s and I thought it was ok, nice...as a saccharin sentimental type song, but with Dimash for the first time I truly hear it, I truly feel it! It goes beyond romantic longing, it is like a raw cry, a longing to love and be loved. an existential cry!!!! It is transcendent! ❤️🌹

This kid man. This kid is gonna be huge. Like he’s huge now but like in the eastern side of the world. In the western not so much. But this kid finishes learning English and start writing English songs he’s gonna change the game. Look at this song. It’s a pop song. And he made it into a modern classical song. And they added that Asian touch with the flute. And his voice range just wow. He goes from one end of my piano to the other. I’m telling you this kid is going to CHANGE. THE. GAME. Just imagine! Modern pop songs but now sung by an “opera” artist and he has Asian past which makes him able to add that great music Asian people have. Amazing.

I call this a "re-imagining" of a classic song, not just a cover. Would anyone have been happy with Dimash doing just a cover of this song? I don't think so. That's not what we've come to expect from him. The original version had a slightly haunting quality. Dimash has taken that haunting quality to a new level. He definitely has a talent for re-imagining a song and making it his own. Not everyone will be happy with this. I'm looking forward to more re-imaginings. Great job! Bravo Dimash!

Галина, не обращайте на нее внимания! Это ненормальная, озабоченная, очередная витасаманка!!! Их фан.база давно и люто ненавидят Димаша, после того, как он " похоронил" их своим кавером во 2 туре!!! I'm a grandfather to 2 boys and have been around the block a few times. Yes I'm old too but young at heart ! LOL The first time I heard Dimash sing SOS I was just blown away ! I don't know how many times I played the song trying to comprehend what I heard and saw. Some ones said that he has the voice of an angel - I think he has the voice of all the angels ! ! In all the years of listening to music, Dimash is something special and the scary thing is - he's getting better !!

You should stop comparing this version to the original one. If he just copied it, people would say 'oh,he hasn't added anything new to this song, why did he take that at all?' This is Dimash' style. He has a unique talent to hit the high notes easily, so why not? Every singer has his own style and preferences. Undoubtedly, Dimash is a super professional vocalist, so he has a right to do so.
