You sound even more passionate about Lara than you are about Dimash. I have to confess that she doesn't inspire me at all, Dimash does. I have watched videos of nearly all the performances you have mentioned and I have to wonder what it is that you find so appealing. The songs are nice enough but the voice seems rather ordinary--almost annoying at times. I realize that's just a personal opinion that differs from yours but I simply can't agree that "she is the best female singer and performer in the world." If that were the case, after nearly 25 years in the business she would have gained popularity in the US (where almost no one at all is familiar with her) and other countries outside of Canada. She has 488 videos on her fan page but fewer than 11,000 subscribers. Just a reality check for you as one of her fans. It's great that you like her so much I wouldn't count on others like this reactor feeling the same way. I happen to think Laura Branigan was the best female singer and performer of the past few decades but I would never recommend her to someone just because he is a fan of Dimash.

She is the best selling belgian artist of all time and one of the most popular francophone artists. She has sold 30M records and performed in 30 countries during her last world tour. The fact that you don’t know the real reasons why she didn’t make it in the US proves you don’t know anything about her life and career. She had many conflicts with Sony, was abused, was severely ill. She said herself that she didn’t want to stay in the US. Talent # marketing. The only francophone singer who had a real career in the US is Céline Dion because she had one of the best managers who protected her and took all the decisions, was surrounded by the most influential people from the industry and had a strong marketing. You don’t build a career, especially in the US, with just talent…that’s not how the industry works. And no need to tell me you’re a « retail music store owner blablabla » as you did in other comments to try to prove your points (it has nothing to do with this conversation) you can listen to any manager, producer etc…they all say the same thing about the reality of the industry. You’re ignorant and talking out of your ass.

Yes, his voice doesn’t literally match the looks of his slim frame. But, he was on stage at 2 yrs and singing on stage at 5 yrs. he was in soccer, got a red belt in taekwando, ad swims underwater for lung capacity. So here he’s 22. From 2 yrs to 22 is 22 years reforming on stage. Won his first piano contest at 5. He was a prodigy, yes, but look what he did with it. His grandmother also put him in the music academy at the university. I don’t think anybody said, “No, Dimash you can’t do that”. Back then in our country and in his other boys made fun of boys with high voices. But the singers for parents and that grandmother who raised him trained his high voice right on through puberty. Dimash it’s just a singer he’s at 27 a maestro. And the students from the vocal call him maestro. All the contest he won call him back the next year to sing again over again. Now he comes back as a judge. You’ve not heard his latest stuff and I’m not telling you to come back to future. But Adagio is young Dimash. Adagio is a “10”, right? What does a “10” sound like from a Dimashin 2021? Dimash practices voice lessons 3 hours a day with or without a vocal coach. That strong chest voice in adagio is 4 years older. And they’re all 10’s.

Another very enjoyable reaction. Dimash appears here in the fifth season of Hunan Television's “I Am A Singer”. “I Am A Singer” is an annual Chinese music competition between famous and established professional singers. The audience phones in to determine the winner after each episode and is the same throughout the entire show; 500 with musical backgrounds and they judge the show by points each week. At 22 year old, Dimash was the youngest participant in the history of the show, and competed against these professional and top-selling Chinese singers as a ‘wildcard’ competitor. The competition consists of 14 rounds, lasts almost 4 months and competitors are eliminated throughout the season. Every performance is live and no lip-syncing or auto-tune is permitted. Pure unadulterated vocal ability only. Dimash’s mother later said that he hoped to reach at least the middle stage of the competition. This was the sixth episode of the competition. Dimash had been considered the weakest contestant at the beginning of the show given that he was completely unknown to the audience. He had been invited as a wildcard and was the first foreigner and youngest person to ever compete in the show. After his first performance (S.O.S.), he became a superstar in China overnight. His Chinese competitors called him their "little imported brother." The other already well-known contestants were in absolute awe of him and joked that they might as well go home. Dimash won the first two episodes! He also won the 6th, for this rendition of “Adagio”, a song made famous by Lara Fabian. First place overall went to the famous Chinese Sandy. Sandy's first album came out before Dimash was even born. Dimash took second place overall, however, lost by a very narrow margin. He lost a lot of points for his performance of “Uptown Funk”. Although Dimash did not win the show, he immediately became a beloved star in China. As part of the contest contestants/performers are each required to perform one original song they have composed. Dimash sang “Unforgettable Day”, a song he wrote when he was still in his teens - it's a love song. He sang in both the original Kazakh as well as in Chinese even though he did not speak Chinese at the time and had to have a translator with him throughout the competition. Here is the order of Dimash’s performances for The Singer 2017. The contest lasts 14 weeks, but Dimash has only 13 performances because he had already made it into the semi-finals by week 11. 1. Michael Jackson Tribute Medley (English) (Finals) 14. Give Me Love (Makhabbat ber maghan) (Kazakh) The last performance was part of the 2017 Biennial Concert and not part of the competition. It was broadcast live and is an original song written for Dimash.

I think I can explain why his voice doesn’t sound like it’s coming out of his mouth. You’ve reacted to sos, opera 2 and now Adagio. First Dimash is a high fashion model. He is used to changing his look for each performance he sings. His age he looks is his choice along with clothing that the show might have collabed on here, but in his concerts he has a designer. Both sos and opera 2 he was 22yearsbold but looked 15 or 16 years old. But his singing voice is much older than people his age that sing. He was on stage at 2 in a singing family not just parents and grandparents who raised him as is custom in his country but all of the family. When they have a reunion they don’t start eating the food first they all sing traditional songs. That chest voice that sounds as strong as Pavarotti is almost 20 years old. He was at the music academy university by 5 years old. I saw a video that the family released with baby Dimash sitting on the floor with that traditional khazak instrumental dombra in his lap that someone put there and his little fingers were messing with the strings. Don’t you wish someone had done that for you? This child was a prodigy with perfect pitch. He’s still a prodigy. As I’ve heard reactors say we get to grow up with Dimash. You’re playing catch up. I’m told there are over 120 videos on his channel of him performing.

You might want to take a look at Hua Chenyu (also known as Hua Hua). There are great singers, and then there are great artists. Hua Hua is the definition of a great artist. His skill sets include: flawlessly mixing genres within songs, exceptional stage presence, delivery of emotion, brilliantly recomposing songs, and composing his own masterpieces. In some of his songs for a competition, he has to rewrite covers within 24 hours, and he developed new masterpieces. Two introduction songs to Hua Hua are: "Nunchucks", and "Fake Monk". Emotional songs and covers that have been re-mastered are , , and . There are so many other great songs (too many to list).
