Dimash is so unique and extraordinary that its hard to explain new adjectives that have not already been said. Let's not forget that Dimash was offered a position in the Astana Opera House in Kazakhstan. His desire was actually to make his way through contemporary music combining different genres of music. So he humbly declined to accept that honor of joining the company. He felt that he would be too restricted doing one genre of music. For me it is like a prayer for the world that everyone can understand, therefore there is no text in this version of "Ave Maria". Dimash sends a message of peace and love to the whole world without using words! The New Wave Festival began its history in 2002 and for many years has become one of the most important musical events not only for Russia, but for the entire creative world. The TV audience of "Nowa Wave" is over 200 million people. In 2021, Dimash was one of the jurors and sang 3 songs as a guest "Ave Maria";"Stranger";and "Fly Away" Igor Krutoy (composer and friend of Dimash) revealed the creation of the composition "Ave Maria" for Dimash, a composition that is included in the new album (music. Dimash contacted Igor Krutoy (Russian composer at piano) and asked him to compose a NEW 'Ave Maria' for him. He did and this is the result. There are very many different compositions of 'Ave Maria', the most well known is Schubert's. This new composition is not a Christian prayer. Dimash is Muslim and Igor grew up Jewish. This is honoring Mary and motherhood. Dimash is singing as an angel. Gorgeous, and a vocal masterpiece. Thank you for your heartfelt reaction. :)

What it represents to the listener is subjective and I think what was meant by "Christian prayer" is that Schubert's Ave Maria was indeed a prayer to the Sacred Mother Mary, the Virgin Mother of Jesus Christ to whom Christians pray and follow, no? It sounds very much like a wordless prayer in all veins of belief to me given it's composer being a "Ukrainian Jew" and its vocalist a "Muslim" angel who in a spiritual language conveys what all human beings understand on the deepest of levels yet, that is just my impression. Motherhood and the miracle of life are definitely sacred.

Me, too. I grew up with Del Shannon and Roy Orbison and The Supremes and the Shangri-las! Never liked opera of any kind but Dimash's "popera" sends me to the stars and I find myself wanting more and more and more of it---even though I've been immersed in it for over five years and have seen virtually every one of his performances dozens or hundreds of times. I have a feeling that Room 2703 is about to take a similar journey.

I have become so frustrated with some of them that I have actually had to avoid talking about music altogether. I can hardly stand to hear anyone say that they don't "get it." A stunningly beautiful performance 🙏🏼 I was fortunate to hear him sing this ‘live’ in concert a few months ago and it was even more beautiful (if that’s possible!!!) - it was somehow even ‘purer’ and it was only as everyone was giving him (yet another!!) standing ovation that I realised that I had tears streaming down my face. I would like to add that Dimash is a young man with a sense of humor, in jeans and a cap. And it has songs for young audiences in its repertoire. I knew you would love this song! You're right, it's SO enjoyable to watch people discover Dimash! It's like watching someone open a Christmas gift that they think is a mug while you know it's an engagement ring! I think this song is pure beauty and we aren't used to much of that in today's world. Another absolutely gorgeous song of his is "The Meaning of Eternity". I believe it was done as part of an advertising campaign for a Chinese theatre. It's short but so beautiful that the first time I heard it I had to play it over four times! You are right that each of Dimash's songs is amazing while being very different from the one before it. Looking forward to "Adagio" (from I Am Singer. He sang it before he actually spoke English, so you may want the subtitles on just for extra clarity). I also recommend "Qairan Elim" which is Dimash's prayer for his country and the world. (Sorry if I already recommended it to you. I can't always keep track of my recommendations!)

He declined an offer of a permanent lead at the world class opera house in his country, at university graduation, to pursue his PhD in Composing/Musicology which he recently received, with honors. All his degrees received while simultaneously maintaining a successful performing career. That's jaw dropping ! @@maryE05 there's always one of you out there. He is working on his Doctoral thesis/dissertation. There is no time limit on its completion as the average time is years, the average pages are in the thousands. His coursework is complete and he is permitted to use the formal salutary title, most do. I grew up there, and checked with mutual friends first, followed by the university for confirmation, to be assured of the facts. Candidates must have the highest grade points in all pre and post graduate coursework curriculums, have completed all advanced mathematics courses with honors, and letters of recommendation from professors, leaders in the industry and other recognized composers. Few quality, fewer complete the rigid and demanding coursework. He has and is encouraged to use the title, tho his humility of nature and natural temperament make him loathe to do so, and is always on to the next thing. This particular degree (PhD Composition) is comparatively rare globally, difficult to achieve and a true honor of distinction, hard work and great scholastic achievement, much less performing while doing it. Until recently, his projects and performances have been carefully scheduled around his studies. I do know he needed the weight of the advanced curriculum to compose on a serious level and to teach on the university level later in life, both goals he has long espoused. I knew his family was ecstatic and couldn't imagine the celebration of it unless his Doctorate was full fledged and finished some time ago. If ever you see my name on a comment, I have been personally involved or privy to, or I have checked the content, received a pass and it will never be hearsay or something I've read somewhere else and not checked for veracity. Great reaction. I myself cried like a baby the first time I heard this. And still on occasion. For something completely different, try “Screaming” ( Idol Hits version is my favourite). And then “Qaragym-Ai 2020”. It doesn’t have crazy high or low notes, but it is one of the most beautiful performances I have ever heard. It is a tribute of Dimash and the pianist to their teacher and mentor who had just passed away from COVID and you can hear the pain and sorrow in the voice and the piano playing, absolutely stunning!

You have just witnessed the most talented vocalist known to mankind in my opinion. Dimash is proudly from Kazakhstan! Just go to his official KZbin channel Dimash Qudaibergen and watch everything! Please watch his FIRST performance of the song "SOS" on the Chinese show "Singer" from 2017 where he was a contestant. He has 10 more performances from this show available to watch! Watch 2nd, 3rd and so on. He was 22 years old then. He is now 28 and has done so many things since. He has studied music since the age of 5. He is a world renowned vocalist. You cannot call Dimash just a singer. He has an 8 octive range. You will see. Dimash has been known to sing in 12 different languages. Watch everything he has done. He also has a lot of pop songs in English such as "Fly Away", "Screaming" and "Be With Me". He is an exceptional talent! Your life will never be the same!

Dimash calls his style "pop-opera", but if you ask me, he can't help adding anything new&interesting he comes across, folk, rock, metal, the tougher the better. When I first heard he did this song, I wondered how a muslim would sing Ave Maria. So he squared the circle going for no words, new melody and ascending heaven his way, brilliant.

At an ice skating show, a Russian girl won first place performing to this song and coincidentally or not she dressed like an angel. Dimash reacted to her performance and was thrilled because he confessed that he sang this song to an ANGEL.

Given that Dimash is formally trained in Opera and sought by an Opera company in Kazakhstan, he often uses operatic technique to achieve some of his vocal stylings. You will also hear pop and rock elements in most of his songs as well. That is part of his uniqueness, that he can move between these different styles of vocal technique often within the same song and it doesn't sound odd. His ability to do that is a talent all its own along with his other vocal abilities.

It is so fun to see the same reaction I had the first time I herd this song. Now is more fun because I can see the pure chocked that everyone has after this son. Don’t worry about the video been taken down because everyone who has done this song have not been able to stop it until the end. Babe he sings opera if he didn’t he wouldn’t had given an offer from the opera company of his country. He spent almost 20 year in music shook, since five years old he was taken by his grandmother to his music school. And like he has profess that even with problems in her legs she took him every day. His grandmother was the one who knew he was destined to be another singer in the family, his mother is an opera singer( soprano) and also his father sings opera, the small DIMASH each time his grandmother play a key in the piano he will imitate the sound. He studied in college his 4 years and then a masters degree in classical and modern music ( contemporary) and his is trying to finish his doctorate degree. So yes DIMASH CAN AND SINGS OPERA. There is a video of him singing opera with a French guy with the deepest voice in a man. Deep voices make my knees week, each time, that is why I love when DIMASH goes low.

Having had the luck to see him LIVE in Kazachstan (Almaty) which lasted 3.5 hrs crystal clear and nonstop spectacular voice To be surrounded by 30.000 amazing Kazach people was a mind blowing experience. Stunning experience and I hope you have the poor to see him in concert too
