There is no denying his voice, it is the best in the world. And I appreciated him more when he had the courage to sing this song in English even though he couldn't speak it back then, who else would dare do such a thing, especially the so called mainstream singers? Also grandmas can be as young as 40 or 45 years old. There are many very young dears, girls and boys but the fact that he can cause older people to feel such passion for music says it all. Age should not be a issue because everyone has the right to their music preferences and although I have listened to many genres throughout my life, when I heard Dimash for the first time, I said " Ok there's hope for this world". If he can cause me to think like that, then he has succeeded as a musician.

Great reaction as usual guys. Living in England I saw Queen from the beginning and greatly admire them as they got better and better but I am not super protective. Given that Dimash was only 22, could not speak English, and was really a classical opera singer then this performance in that context is phenomenal. As many a female sex siren has said over the years , if you have it baby then flaunt it. - Dimash flaunted it here.

The guitarist from "The Queens " Mr. Brian May appreciated and congratulated Dimash for his performance. The original one by Mr. Fredie Mercury is sad song as this was his last song before his death. Dimash made it different like fighting back kind of spirit.

This is not one of my favorites but he did a great job with his vocals, as usual. This is his first English song and he didn't speak a lick of English so he learned it phonetically in a week. He did really good considering, but this is a personal song for me and Queen is my all time favorite band so I'm biased. With that said, I think by the end of his career, he's going to be bigger than Freddie. 😍

Now, I think his runs in that song is the best part about it. I can't say the same for TSMGO though. The song is too personal for me.

@@SeeliaVachon Agree!Dimash most of the times does a better cover than the original-His Hello was much better than Lionel's because I thought it was a little too boring but its hard to beat Freddy Mercury if your English isn't up to speed and he was really raw in a competition trying to show his voice instead of singing,I liked Lara Fabians Adagio more than Dimash but I Like Dimash's Love of tired swans,Know and mademoiselle hyde much better than Lara's.So it goes more by song then artist.

Yeah this Dimash guy is pretty good. I think if you go back and listen to Queen and Freddie Mecury's original version there is no comparison. Queen is a great band one of my all time favorites but when Dimash puts his own style to any song he makes it a new song not a version of the original. Yeah this Dimash guy might have a future as a singer. A dear since 2017.

So many comments: Why was that guitarist up there with him, doing his solo thing? Was that expected? It was kind of amusing to see him lean back to get out of range of Dimash’s arm, which makes me wonder if that had been rehearsed. And every time Dimash flings himself down on his knees, I cringe. Ouch! Some if his co-contestants presented him with a pair of knee pads as a (kind of) joke, saying they were worried about his knees. Anyway, loved your reactions, as always. NO!!!! Dimash was not playing off Queens' original song. He makes every song his own. He did Opera 2 even better than the original singer, Vitas, whose producer/ manager sued so Dimash can never sing that song again. He claimed Dimash never got permission to perform that song.

I am a huge Queen fan and I know Freddie was smiling from the grave over this rendition by Dimash. When Dimash does a cover song he makes it his own but, he keeps the base of the original song so you know exactly what the song is. ( I hope you understand what I am saying ).
