BRAZIL - EU AMO ESSA MÚSICA(ALIÁS AS MÚSICAS KAZAKHS QUE DIMASH CANTA SÃO MAGNIFICAS) O QUE GOSTO EM DIMASH É QUE ELE DÁ IMPORTÂNCIA AS LETRAS DAS MÚSICAS QUE CANTA, AFINAL HOJE EM DIA A MAIORIA DE ARTISTAS NÃO SE IMPORTAM COM ISSO, SÃO VAZIAS, SEM SIGNIFICADO ALGUM....

Once Dimash commented about Samaltau….. “…technically it is not difficult but … it is so difficult emotionally!” Dimash is a great Artist!❤❤❤ and also his performance in China at the movies festival (first time he presented this song) was so impressive! It was a shock for me!

When Kazakhstan belonged to Russia, young Kazakhs were forced, by the Russian Empire, to leave their homes and fight many years until their total massacre. The story of one of these young people, who desperately marches into a war that is not his, besides the sadness of leaving his parents, elders, with no one to take care of and the certainty that he will never see the mountains (“tau”) of Kazakhstan again generated this wonderfully sad song! In addition to Dimash's talent, we have a wonderful ambience and two fantastic musicians: Olzhas Qurmanbeck - Master in playing Qobyz (Kobyz, who looks like a violin), the other who plays “rainstick”! A supernatural journey to the plains of Kazakhstan, through Music!

Maybe you're not saying anything different, but just to clarify, this performance was livestreamed in real time during the Tokyo Jazz Festival in 2020.

There is yet another version of Samaltau that I really like and it was the first time Dimash performed the song. It was in 2019 at the Closing and Award Ceremony of the 6th Silk Road International Film Festival in Fuzhou, China. I don't think it's as popular as the Jazz Festival and Digital Show versions, but it may actually be my favorite because it was the first time I heard the song and I was really impressed by the incredible stage, the musicians, and the way Dimash sang the song. I believe it's the only version where he goes down to a low B2 on the last note.

The second version was from his Digital Show, also during the pandemic. Both are amazing. He has shared in the past that this song is very hard for him to sing emotionally.

So glad you reacted to THIS version. It's my absolute favorite! I love the intimacy of the setting and how passionate he is singing it. I know you prefer his more ethnic songs...you haven't reacted to his Durdaraz from the Almaty concert, which was A M A Z I N G!!! The WHOLE concert was ridiculously good! This has a more metal feel to it...kzbin.info/www/bejne/gn3Xp6h9gL5khbs

I would appreciate it a lot if you could make yourself familiar with the lyrics of a song in a language you do not know and learn a little about its origin before reacting. This would add a whole world of emotions to your reactions. Samaltau is one of those songs one can only fully appreciate in the know. Dimash performs quite a lot of songs where knowing is as important as listening.

It's been my favourite song for a long time and although I love both versions I prefer the version he sang in his home studio as it feels so much more intimate. I love it when Dimash sings in Kazakh. Have you reacted to Qairan Elim? kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXrCc5Ksotmpm6Msi=j2ymSpa8aTnd9i7S This is the Dimash Digital show version. There is also an official MV but I believe you might like this version better. I saw him a couple of weeks ago in Istanbul for his 30th birthday concert and he was phenomenal. This song in particular got me and I cried for most of it as it was so very emotional.
