What is particularly admirable with Dimash, beyond his insane vocal range, is his ability to color his voice with so many nuances, with a total control of each of them; this talent is very rare. I strongly suspect he has such a wide range due to genetics (both parents are from families whose focus as both their ground of joy and livelihood was being Kazahkstan's favorite singers) *and* his family's nurture (there would have been non-stop singing all around him while in his mother's womb and from birth onwards) *and* his nature (Dimash has said he was conscious of deciding to dedicate himself to singing when he was 1 or 2 years old; that presumably means his self-determined organizing of his brain would have settled on singing during synaptogenesis -- the explosion of synapse formation between neurons that occurs during early brain development -- which would guide the pruning that happens around 2-3 years old to leave all his nuanced processing of singing not only fully intact but strengthened). But I also think that's only a part of the story (perhaps even a relatively small one). Because I get the impression it's the humble hard working constant focus and practice of his family and himself -- hours of singing 24/7/365 from birth onwards, with high quality academic training *that he loved* from the age of 5 onwards (still ongoing) -- that must surely be added to the gifts given him by God. (I'm not religious but I don't really see any other adequate way to try describe him and his ministry given that his name means Gift of God and it really does transcend any ordinary magnificence.)

I see that people have suggested "Daybreak" from the Bastau concert. I agree but must mention that to get the full effect of this song you REALLY need to know the tragic story behind it. I suggest that you watch the Singer version also from Gloria Wu's channel first as it gives a full background. Haha after you said you wanted Dimash sing every cover.. I immediately thought of this. I didn’t comment because you already had so many comments, so many suggestions, & this is a performance that rarely gets reacted to. So keep that in mind! It’s so amazing & yet there are a couple dozen other performances people usually request more often lol. Lionel Ritchie’s Hello by Dinash is another one you must see. And also All By Myself- by Eric Carmen, but you’re likely familiar with Celine’s cover of it. Make sure you check out the Singer competition version 1st- he was on that show in 2017 so it will be the youngest you’ve seen him 😊

For "the story of one sky" id recommend to add that it took Dimash 4 years and 3 million dollars of his own personal money to put out this Music Video for us. Carlie doesn't know yet, but Dimash is the messenger for peace in the world. This MV has a lot of eastern and western symbolism and the messages. More in the video than lyrics. The part that broke me into tears was the dead man screamed "we choosing life" from under the water where no one can hear. Dimash put all his pain and anger into that part. Also traditional "mourning" eastern runs and riffs expressed so much grief. Masterpiece. And he wrote it himself.

Filtering the video is not much of an issue for those of us who watch reactions. We get it, although I've never been aware of this particular one being blocked or copyrighted. But so many indiscriminate pauses mid-phrase and mid-note even without ever rewinding before restarting.

Bear in mind he didn’t really know any English at this point. He learned phonetically to sing this- same goes for other English songs from this time period. So like in All By Myself from The Singer which I suggested in another comment- he does make mistakes with the English’s a bit. I don’t even care. But just to let you know- here he still really doesn’t speak the language at all. As opposed to Stranger where he can converse quite a bit in English by that point.

Oh btw please don't do Day break or Autumn strong without getting the back story, you can't fully appreciate them otherwise and Dears will be critical...just FYI. And if you do Daybreak from the show, he was sick and lost his voice, pulled it off but you should follow it with Daybreak Bastau version to see how he really wanted to sing it, heck make it a duo in one reaction even better.
