Dimash - "SOS" London Concert (Denis Ten tribute) Reaction

Dimash pays an emotional tribute to close friend and Olympic medalist, Denis Ten, who was brutally killed a few months ago. Dimash is trying to hold back tears as he watches his friend skate to his song. You can see him secretly wiping away tears. In the end, it was hard to keep going and he ended up going backstage after the song.

It is impossible to listen to this song without tears. Dimash and Denis wanted to sing this song together. Unfortunately, Denis left us.

... he was battling with emotions and tears during that performance because he dedicated the song to a friend that died in July.... and as I have been reading he had a cold too. He is just a human being with an exceptionel talent. :)

This is what Dimash literally said beginning from 7:37 of your video: "Thank you very much! If there are people in the audience who understand Kazakh, I would appreciate if you translate to those who around you... He (Denis) is our star that will never fade away. He is our hero. He is a wonderful fellow, a wonderful person, who raised Kazakh name, Kazakh authenticity, pride to the entire world. I dedicated this song to my brother. Denis will stay forever in our souls".

I was at the concert, and I can tell you that we were all touched when Dimash sang SOS. We could see how he struggled not to cry, as he tried to endure the tears. It has been a very emotional moment. That's why he ran out of the stage, because he could not take it anymore. Dimash and Denis Ten were very good friends! When he returned to the stage, he briefly said that Denis was a great man, very noble, very loved in Kazakhstan, and that his memory will last forever in our hearts! As a ice-skating fan and knowing Dimash and Denis were friends I knew the moment the fancam showed Denis on the screen behind him how hard it had to be watching Denis' exhibition for him. He wanted to do a tribute for a friend and he did - you can hear, see and feel what he ment to him.

Dimash and Denis were best friends and buddies. Denis won the bronze medal in the Olympic winter games, and he was skating to the music of his buddy. Denis was the first Kazakh ever to win an Olympic medal. Denis was murdered on 19 July 2018.We can only imagine what Dimash felt while singing: "pourquoi je vis, pourquoi je meurs; pourquoi je ris, pourquoi je pleure?" (Why do I live, why do I die; why do I laugh, why do I cry?")

I agree, you really hear and feel the sorrow Dimash was conveying. Broke my heart, I started crying with him. Denis was good friends with Dimash. Sadly, Denis was murdered in Kazakhstan. 😭

😢😢😢❤️❤️❤️ awwww... I was there, standing on floor in the second row, on the right, so I could see his face even when he turned toward the screen. I was crying too, and also scared that Dear Dimash wouldn’t make it to the end of the song. But he managed it beautifully. Then wiped his tears furtively, then walked out. From the first sentence, it’s obvious that his voice is different. Not the clear perfect voice as usual, but hoarser, closer to a speaking voice, and filled with emotions. I’ve avoided watching your reaction so far because I knew it would make me cry again... Thank you for a caring and sensitive reaction!

One amazing thing about Denis and Dimash that when Denis started to ski (the competition on back screen) so he made few mistakes till did not start the sos song, singing by his friend Dimash. Since that moment Denis made his performance excellent and got a medal!!! It was amazing like Dimash voice gave him power!!! Wow! And of course they dreamed and it sadly failed. Dimash actually is really crying while singing and thats why showing back to audience. Lovely sweet angel😇 🌹🌹🌹. I wish he never cry any more!

Hi TraENT 😊 yes this was very emotional for Dimash and for all of us...at the end Dimash said that they were best friends and how great person and athlete was Denis and how much he did to promote Kazakhstan thrue skating and helping young athletes in Kazakhstan.He said that Denis will always be in our hearts. That was so heartbreaking. They suposed to be toghether in this concert but Denis was killed by two robbers and Dimash was broken...I was crying while watching him struggling to sing SOS thrue tears....

I and my spouse never miss to watch the figure skating games on the TV. We paid attention to Denis Ten, he was one of our favourites. We've been wondering why is it that we haven't seen Denis for some time. Only recently did we learn that he was murdered on 19 July 2018.

Did you notice that once Dimash turned and looked at the screen he never turned back. That is because he was crying. He never got to go to the funeral because of passport issues, so this was grief and closure for him. Dimash had nothing but love and support in spades from all us dears. It was my first time hearing Demash sing SOS over a year ago too. I've been putting off watching and hearing this since his London concert, because of the heartbroken sounds he made due to his grief. Thank you for acknowledging his pain, it made it more bearable for me.

I love that song for a very long time, I grew up with it. Then I discovered Dimash singing it and that's at this moment I felt in love with his voice, his singing, this artist. Since the concert in London, it's difficult to listen this song. I have tears in my eyes, everytime. I don't believe there was a lot of people not crying in the audience that night. Seeing Dimash like that... Hard but still beautiful, as always. I will never forget this concert, it was so wonderful. Thank's a lot for the video, and that nice reaction. The way you felt so quickly that there was something, and how felt Dimash, even with this fancam, not close to him... You really seem to know "your boy" ^^

He never should have had to sing this song. Not as an "in memory". Denis should still be alive. Those cowards who killed him-they took a life far too soon. They took a family's son from them far too soon. For the life they stole, i hope they stay in prison.

I was devastated when I heard about the murder of Denis Ten Silver medallist in men's figure skating. There are a couple of great videos of him successfully skating to this song, one being "China on Ice". I'd been trying to get reactors to view them when it was something to celebrate. Now, it's hard to watch the men's ice skating competition without looking for Denis. I feel Dimash's pain. So, I did not fully watch your reaction.

I know I've had a little fun with your "my boy, Dimash" on at least one of your other reactions, but I have a solution - seeing as how I'm an old lady - you're MY boy TraEnt - and that makes Dimash my grand-boy :D Deal? But it isn't so light-hearted when it comes to poor Denis, who was murdered in a robbery. But I see others have explained about that tragedy. It's why I (and I am sure I'm not alone) cry when I see this. I hope someone can give a translation, too...

Hard to reach a high note when you are choked up with tears. He just had to stop singing a couple of times even when it wasn’t high. They had always planned to sing this song together at his concert. Poor Dimash was so heartbroken.
