👉 This was a historic moment and is Dimash’s visiting card. That is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears (This is what Dimash calls us fans.) This song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries) and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight. The best comment from a Dear under this video: „If you are having a bad day, remember, someone had to sing after him.“ 🤣 That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home. Despite Dimash's planned brief presence, his name was intended to be symbolic and understandable to the public. Dimash was given the Chinese name Dimashi and the 3 syllables were assigned in Chinese characters: ⭐Di - achievement ⭐Ma - precious stone ⭐Shi - dream, wish. This competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood in front of his door. The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to KZbin ... and so we became Dimash's Dears. The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. won). Dimash’s mom is a retired opera singer and his dad also is a musician in Kazakhstan. In those old Soviet Union countries, arts universities are very prominent and founded by Russia. As for Dimash’s voice range and power, I am over 60 y/o, followed many talented musicians, yet never met someone so gifted or/and talented like Dimash. Also, he’s well raised, very respectful, already finished his Master’s and going for his Ph.d. He’s planning to study in the US and had made many concerts in America.

LaMay Music Hi, It’s very difficult for me to say which song is my favorite from Dimash. If I have to choose one, I’d have to say SOS. However, I have many other favorites now that are my number ones. 😆 Sinful Passion, Fly Away, Be with me, War and Peace and the list goes on! 😆😁😂 I listen to Dimash daily, actually quite often throughout my day. I must confess, I’m totally addicted to listening to him and watching him perform. I can’t seem to kick my habit or obsession. Well to be honest, I haven’t tried and I really do not want to! LOL 😝😁😂

LaMay, great reaction. Honestly you can’t go wrong with any of Dimash’s performances. This is one of his best performances of SOS. He has another from his digital show from 2021 that is both an auditory and visual treat. Dimash always matches his voice to the venue the stadium, and to the song. In his PhD now but in his two masters he had a master class in broadway stage production. The audience isn’t used here like in sos at the singer where the audience wa a character in the song. I can’t give the reason but I do think that something happen at 15 when he found this songs. Dimash does cover of many American artist and his two idols ar3 Michael Jackson and Freddy Mercury. Vocal he has surpassed both of these at 27 now. He was 23 here. @@LaMayMusicTV Many people are probably going to be recommending his latest impressive video "Stranger". The problem with the fact that he just seems to keep topping himself, would be that it could make his older performances seem lackluster in comparison. His performances on Singer 2017 are exceptional in comparison to other singers, but there have been many since then. You, and other fans, are probably impatient to get to his best stuff, so I think an intermediate step would be "Sinful Passion" from Sochi in 2018. There are some copies with Eng.subs. They come in handy because he says a few words after the performance, and you get to see what kind of a person he is. That performance had some new technical surprises, and his "Hello" is still good enough to be appreciated after that. I stumbled upon Dimash and reaction channels by accident, and then saw what reactors and vocal coaches were being asked to look at after that, and found good artists on Singer 2018, and then many top notch Philippine artists. Every vocal coach has loved that "One Sweet Day" cover.

📌Welcome! Who is Dimash Qudaibergen? (Pronounced: Dee-mah-sh Kuh-di-bear-gen) Dimash was born on May 24, 1994 in Aktobe, Kazakhstan. He is 1.91m; 6.3 feet tall. According to Kazakh tradition, he was raised by his grandparents and for a long time he kept his parents as his aunt and uncle. Dimash’s parents Kanat and Svetlana Aitbaevs - Honored Artists of Kazakhstan: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYWaY5iJj5yKi5o His father is also his manager. They all live together in one house. Dimash said: “Open my heart, you will find music. If you open my brain you will find music. Music is my life." He has been training in music since he was 5 years old, has a perfect pitch. Dimash also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition. He graduated with honors’. He has composed 12 of his own songs so far and is currently working on his doctorate. We have to call him soon Doctor Dimash Qudaibergen. 😃 Dimash did not fit the traditional image of a singer in Kazakhstan and was criticized. Even his voice teacher forbade him to sing in falsetto (There is a video where the teacher talks about it)... but he was not deterred, won many national and international competitions. In 2016, Dimash turned down the offer of the National Opera in Astana because he wanted to go his own way ... He created his own genre: neoclassical combined with classical, folklore and other styles such as pop, rock, R&B and jazz. We laypeople say 'Popera'. 😃 Dimash is independent and has full artistic control over himself. He founded his own company named Dimash Ali. In 2017, Dimash surprised everyone in China. He opened the eyes of his critical compatriots. Today Dimash is a 'cultural ambassador' for his country and a 'national treasure' (not an official title). He himself is a proud Kazakh and patriot. Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in his family. He speaks Kazakh (mother tongue) and Russian (without accent, second language in Kazakhstan), is learning English and Mandarin. He says dancing and Mandarin are difficult for him. So far, he sings in 13 languages. He trains his voice for 3 hours every day, ..but Dimash said: "You don't need to know how hard I've worked, you just need to enjoy the results". Experts consider Dimash a lyrical baritone with a typically long range. Some believe that he sings his high notes not as a countertenor, but as a natural soprano. He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, contralto, soprano. His current range is G0 - D8 (out of piano)! He love fire and water on stage, as a set of course. 🤣 A Dear gave him knee pads, but he says he's so deep into his songs that he doesn't feel any pain. 😃 Dimash looks good, is one of the 100 most beautiful men in the world and a model coveted around the world. Dimash is humble, kind, generous, respectful, reserved and very, very hardworking. He donates a lot of time and money to charity, supports people in need and always does so quietly. We only find out because some people feel the need to talk about it. Go on the journey. He will surprise you every time, touch your heart, feed your soul or push you off your chair. Tissues are always recommended, also for metal heads! Be careful and hold on tight when Dimash takes out the left earbud! Hello LaMay so glad you decided to react to the greatest voice of our time. Dimash did a cover of Lionel Richie's Hello in the 2017 I Am Singer competition in China. This song SOS was his 1st song of the competition. Dimash is one of a kind. He also just finished a concert in Dubai. His next concert is in Germany in about 2 weeks I believe. Please continue on your journey to Dimash. Hello, Sinful Passion, Stranger ( New Wave 2021 Sochi Russia). Also, Daybreak from 2017 and Autumn Strong ( both are true stories).Back stories can be found on the Gloria Wu channel. Just to name a few great songs you may want to listen to. It is in Russian, so turn on the captions : kzbin.info/www/bejne/rn2ogq2cprSSopI . His most powerful steamroller of an opera style song is Ogni Pietra (a.k.a. Olimpico) in Italian. It doesn't have pre-made English subtitles so turn on captions and pick autotranslate/English from "subtitles" under the gear icon. Luckily Italian autotranslates well. You may want to try a fan cam with the official audio subbed in so you can see his face/throat more for singing analysis. Beware the muddy audio on many fancam versions.
