Hi friend! Thank you for your sincere reaction! When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least! 😢 Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform. 1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war. “People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love, and harmony. There is only one song as far as I know that Dimash himself wrote the lyrics: OMIR. Beautiful song he composed as a gift for his dears, "painting" his most inner emotions. If you want to know Dimash, that is the song. No high notes, so much emotions. . About the lyrics, he always decide what the lyrics must be, what about, how it is written. In interviews he already said that he loves poetry and someone who composes and sings must be prepared to know if the lyrics are well written, if it is poetic, if it is saying exatcly what he wants to say in the way he wants to say it. ❤❤❤ And please, don't feel awkward if you get emotional. 🎼✅ You are speaking of exactly the things Dimash is trying to address about children vs adults and how the world is run. Lilia wrote the lyrics, but guided by the story he wanted to tell, including the screenplay which I think he had already sketched out in fairly detailed form relatively early in the song's 3 year development arc. He started actively developing this song as Covid emerged in 2020, but it was also a natural progression after another of his earlier compositions, War & Peace. And the seeds go back to his childhood, and thoughts about the kinds of themes he saw in art such as the Kazakh folk song Samaltau, one of his favorites, a story grounded in Russia's conscription of Kazakhs in 1916 to die in WW1. I know the instrument you mentioned as a "Jew's Harp". There's a wikipedia page for it. Yeah, he gets shot too. The point is that if you kill, you're part of the loop of killing. That's why his emphasis is on the child, and choosing life, not the dead. Your emotional reaction is entirely understandable. Last year he met with the pope and sunni grand imam to share this video, with UN folk in the last month, and spending much time with Kazakh's president in the last few weeks. He knows he's just a singer, and deeply understands humility, but, driven by compassion for children, he is determined to make a difference. Here's hoping. Peace and love from the UK.🕊💖

This is Dimash’s dream for humanity. It should be the dream for all of humanity, but the “Pipers” are often misleading people with their words and their agendas. Children are born innocent and can only learn what they are taught. Honestly, I am so grateful that we have been gifted with Dimash who has been gifted with an incredible talent, a loving family with good values and the ability to convey his message in his own way. The live version from Almaty is also amazing- Dimash lays it all out on the stage. Impressive. Don’t worry about the tears: there are a few of Dimash’s performances that do that to pretty much all of us. However, there are some more light-hearted, but no less impressive vocally, videos out there: Be with Me, Power Rangers Theme Song(!), Dudurai is very new and reworks a traditional Kazakh song…. Prayers from Canada!

More movie details: More details about the film: (1) The two boys competed for the girl's attention; (2) The character (who Dimash represents as an adult) created a symbol to confirm the friendship between the three, after being saved by his friend; (3) Still in the video we see the girl choose "Dimash" and then they get married and have the little girl (who was killed) as a daughter and the mother is pregnant with another boy; (4) The oldest boy (who saved "Dimash" from drowning) does not accept being abandoned by the girl and becomes a dictator president/general; (5) Dimash becomes a soldier who decides to return from combat to protect his war refugee family; (6) Dimash finds his daughter dead and thinks that his wife had also died, so he decides to take revenge on his friend; (7) He kills the dictator and is killed regretting the violence he committed in life; (8) Dimash's wife is well received by people of different religions who agree that Dimash's son is someone special; (9) The wife dies in childbirth and Dimash's son becomes a leader who leads the refugees to a better place of tolerance, respect and acceptance.

Dimash stood on his shoulders and composed a 14 minute symphony, wrote a screenplay, acted it, sang it, put it in movie format and distributed it bringing the international music community to its knees ! LA and music and entertainment executives from around the world were knocking on his door within weeks and at their invitation he spent 3 weeks in California with David Foster, and other leading music executives and artists. Much talk in trade journals of future projects and awards, one in the works. He made music history.

Congrats on the reaction! Well, some considerations: (1) Dimash composed the song and participated in the arrangement, in addition to acting in the mini-film. The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya! (2) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time); (3) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). After hypnotizing the rats with his magic flute and drowning them in the Weser, the artist went to collect the amount owed (one coin per head) and was not paid (they alleged that he did not present the "heads" of the rats). He then hypnotized one hundred and thirty children from the city of Hamelin and locked them in a cave. Yeah, well, the "pied piper" (also called "ratcatcher") has become synonymous with the tyrant who uses a mesmerizing speech and leads to death! 10:10 AGREED! Funny actually because that was exactly what Dimash said in the live concert he released and sang this song for us for the first time! He said: "Having traveled so much due to my concerts and met so many, I realized there was no bad nation." and he stopped there, meaning there's no bad "nations" only bad "people/individuals" that destroy the majority/nations. And also said that we very much disregard and underestimates kids though we actually need to learn so much from them, to learn sincerity in love and purity and right from wrong and no one knows best than children how to be "good" human beings. 👉 That is the grandiose and impressive result of three years of compositional work by Dimash Qudaibergen. This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children. Story: The clip is divided into several parts. One day the friend saves the protagonist when he almost drowns. The three children are friends and their common external symbol is the necklace (gnonom). Both boys are in love with the girl. But she decides on 'Dimash'. The other boy feels hurt. The pendant is a gnomon, the shadow hand of a sundial, which also served as a sea compass before antiquity. Uniform wearers wear this symbol on their heads. So it can't work. It's war. The children are grown and the two boys have parted ways. "Dimash" fights as a soldier, while his heavily pregnant wife (the girl) with his daughter and his entire family stay in his house. Dimash's childhood friend has become the country's president/general and mercilessly follows his twisted ideology. As an antagonist (Piper - based on the “Pied Piper of Hamelin”), he carries the idea of a saving war: “Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give freedom to the world. A world where every city, every home is one. We accompany everyone who is ready to start this new life. Anyone who defends themselves has no place with us. I choose freedom. The world is my oyster and I want to give it to you. „War is the way to a united people!” The main character also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love. He's struggling, he's confused, he's in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife and his daughter. Dimash explicitly wants this video to be seen and shared. I really look forward to your reaction video, life performance or MV first. Whatever order you choose. And sorry for writing so much😊🫣. In The Story Of One Sky he sings the whole soundtrack himself. The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it. He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay. The premiere was on September 24, 2022. As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. OMG he is such a phenomenal actor. Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife and unborn child were also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace. In this video you can see how the main religions are represented mostly with his voice. Islam with the type of Arabic melisma (unfortunately I don't know the correct explanation for this type of singing), Buddhism with the monks and the enchanting "Ohm", Judaism with the shofar and the Christian church with the soprano singing, which often can be heard in churches. It's OK to cry and get all emotional. I cry every time I watch this MV. Did you catch the gun click when they found the little girl smiling up at them? That's the daughter found dead by Dimash after the carnage. It is so hard to watch any parent losing a child. You now need to watch the concert live version of this song. Dimash truly gave it his all for this. At the end of the song, he was completely spent. "We need peace!" he pleaded to the world and everyone there at his concert. Dimash used his complete vocal tool box to perform this song and it is a masterpiece. Tour De Force. Love Dimash.
