I remember Trivium actually using these guitars back in The Crusade era until around Shogun. I'll always remember the Young Guitar Magazine instructional video from 2007 where Matt played a custom painted white and gold Razorback with Dimarzio Petrucci pickups, and Corey played a Razorback V with the Skull paintjob :)

@@Mr.Goldbar Search the used market and you may be able to find a deal. Same goes for most guitars that aren't made anymore due to supply and demand. People want these guitars, and they're hard to find or not for sale unless the right price is found.

Those were the days. I found out about Dean guitars thanks to Trivium. Got addicted to Razorbacks but couldn't afford one as a fourteen year old. Luckily I managed to get one last year .

I have the Korean 2007 shards Razorback. It’s fun to play. It’s at my local guitar shop getting some work done, it was a second hand guitar and I was having trouble with setting the neck up properly. It’ll be worth it when it’s done I hope! 🤘thanks for posting the video man.

As someone who has been searching for a Dime Razorback, I got a 7 string second hand one, I always wanted one when I was a kid cause it looked cool, just because I was introduced to Pantera when I was a newbie into guitars, also 10's solo is the first time I got obsessed with Pantera, early US Dubs DBZ Movie with US bands was how I got to really want to chase that song

I have one of these Dean razorback with a rust finish it says it is made out of mahogany but only weighs about half as much as my Les Paul why is it so light if it is made out of mahogany which is a heavy wood?

Is your rust Razorback a newer one made overseas? Each cut of wood will be different from the next in terms of weight, grain pattern, density, and timbre/tone.

Hearing you play it makes me want to go back and grab it haha. It was an 06 Y serial with the case. Neck pickup is different though. I'm holding out for an FBD or DFH though. Quite fun finding them in the wild locally either way. @@EricMorettin

This guitar has a V neck because it was made in China. The Korean Razorbacks dont have a V neck, just like the Korean Dime MLs.

@@EricMorettin I’ve played from the USA Razorsbacks (including the Vs) down to the Entry levels. They are always full of quality issues and have been since they dropped them in the mid 2000s. Dean has always had low QC expectations and they almost always had issues in that era
