6:50 Fun fact: Stockholm syndrome isn't a real psychological disorder. It's something police in Sweden invented to explain why someone might be more scared of being shot in a rescue attempt (a very reasonable thing to be afraid of when you're standing an arms length away from the person who'd be shot at) than by their captor, who had not shown any desire to harm them. The idea that humans are naturally empathetic to folks in desperate situations didn't occur to anyone, apparently. What this lady is suggesting is much closer to a thing called "economic abuse" where one partner in a relationship controls all the assets and any ability for that person to do things independently.

I’d heard they invented it to explain one specific case where basically everyone who a sad old man held captive in a bank or something described him as a nice guy and didn’t want him punished for it, so the police concluded they all had an undiscovered psychological disorder rather than accept that it was a sad old man and people felt really bad for him even after being the victims of his breakdown.

Beatrice was definitely the only reasonable choice in this one, also to your questions about how exactly, we'll use the codename "red flower" for not getting nuked by google bots purposes, so with snake girls typically their red flower would be kind of orientated like you'd imagine a belly button to be, as opposed to between the legs (since they don't have legs) so just picture another belly button a bit below the belly button, but it's not a belly button it's a "red flower"

In fairness to plant-girl; it's entirely possible that a forest ecosystem of nontrivial scale is a business empire of a kind. It's not uncommon in myth for various demi-human sylvan entities to be seen as fairly active, if often covert, forestry management entities. It's more of a magical symbiosis of which they are the sentient manifestation; rather than a "I'm the Senior Vice President of Broadleaf Trees" thing; but still.

My theory of the snake girl's claws is, whatever magic or science made her a snake, it is clearly inherited from her mother. Thus it must have been achieved by changing her genetics in some way. While snakes do not have limbs, they are descended from species that do. It's possible that there are still some unknown genes that encode claws which are present in snakes but have no effect, that were expressed properly as a result of the gene splicing process. That being said, I have no explanation for her ears.

Snakes are squamates which makes them closely related to lizards. More than likely snakes had front and hind limbs but as they evolved to particularly hunt burrowing prey their limbs became more atrophied until eventually they lost them completely. You can still encounter boas with vestigial hind claws. You don't need limbs when you specialize for crawling quickly and silently through the underbrush.
