I am in chemistry honors and the first time my teacher taught dimensional analysis to me I was super confused. After watching your simplified lesson of dimensional analysis, I think I have a better idea of how the process works now ☺️👍

I kinda get it, but it was way better than what I was taught at school. It was the same steps but my teacher and the class speed off without me and it's hard to catch up. This is helpful, thanks

That is a bummer. Try to think about the numerator from your first value becoming the denominator of the second until you finally get the value you want in the numerator.

No, keep watching and check out the pizza example that is second. That shows an example with different numbers in the denominator.

isn't it supposed to be 6 people, and then ((6*4)/8) = 3? Because the person who is inviting the others is also going to eat right? Thank you very much for this video - was really easy to understand dimensional analysis this way!!

i don't get why "5 people" doesn't get a denominator, my brain says there is a denominator of (1 person), so I'm stuck with pizza/person, all the while I intuitively know that I just need to multiply the number of slices by the number of people to know how many slices are required and then the number of pizzas requires as a result .. :S

How do you set up a conversion of a number of days ≠ 1, say the number of seconds in 2.5 days? How do you teach conversion of units in the denominator, say 25 mi/h to mi/min?
