This song reminds me of Alyssa. We were both misfits in elementary school and both of us were bullied. I was her only friend. We hugged and held hands, but never kissed. We played at recess every day, ate lunch together, and despite being one grade younger than me, were lab partners. Sadly she moved away over the summer, and I never got her number. Nobody else who went to my school can remember her, and I'm on an endless search for her. I'm crying right now. If we ever meet again, I pray that on a sunny day on the beach in June, she is wearing a white dress with a veil while carrying a bouquet of carnations, and I am wearing a black tuxedo and a top hat.
